This argument makes no sense to me. You can't affect Gele/Prot until you're 215 anyway. This just prevents them from putting them on lvl locker alts for instant locks. Would have 0 effect on Gele/Prod raids.
Sorry that point may have not been conveyed correctly.

The larger clan then has a greater number of characters that can maintain a rune farming advantage, which could in turn be used on Proteus and Gelebron.

For clarification one of the main reasons for not level locking them 215+ is it can be seen as a helpful catch-up mechanic for low levels, for example:
8 close-level lockers vs, 8 over-leveled lockers (or maybe locker-alts) on a 180 bosses. But because this matters more to us, we've bought/farmed runes - and we use them to ensure we get this one.

Regardless, we are taking player feedback under consideration and reviewing this topic further.

What you can do is higher the rate of flawless crystals in ring bosses. We killes ringbosses freqiently and we only made 4 flawless stones but NO flawless crystals. Never seen a flawless crystal. How can casters anf tanks finnish their ring to godly.. or even anyone else for that matter.. we worked on rings since theve came out.

On Balor we got only 4 flawless drops (3crystals, 1 stone)

Just going to skip ahead here to say.....MAKE THEM LIKE THE SCROLLS IN OW. What scrolls some may ask? The banes! The scrolls that are for ow bosses. That also have 0 effect on achieving the lock. Its perrrrfect.

It's unfortunate that OTM is missing the overall picture.

Reducing the runes drop rate is essentially making the Gelebron encounter more difficult. The VERY ENCOUNTER that runes were made for.
Reducing the runes drop date affect all clans that farm runes negatively. It will not help any "less dominant" clan with fewer 215s to catch up. This is the same concept as making godly/void drop rates insanely low. All it does is make the game harder for all players.

I'm neither ecstatic nor unhappy about the change. Maybe if our clan was still reliant on them, but we don't use runes or fissures on Gelebron anymore so from my perspective, it's meh. But what about up and coming clans that need these runes? We certainly used them during our first several kills.

In any case, I do hope OTM reconsider ACTUAL player feedback rather than playing game-theory. Use your playerbase's actual knowledge and experience of the game, rather than coming up with theoretical scenarios. There is no such thing as 8 close-to-level lockers vs. 8 over-leveled lockers anymore.

No need for all that nooby. We still get gele and are doing great. Enjoy the clan you're in, it is relaxed and peaceful. :)

Lame response by OTM, once again showing their lack of understanding for what the players are asking for.

If you go back to my old thread about runes I gave two options to fix it and the overwhelming response was restrict what the rune can damage not lower its drop rate which is already abysmally low.
You are a player not staff you don't get to give two options and say pick one

Only one clan from all servers suggested lowering the drop rate because they want to hog every Proteus and Gelebron. It's bad enough they multi log/share each other's toons in order to win these raids. You cater to a clan who's leaders have 10 devices and log all their rangers in, meanwhile other clans have lives and don't share toons. You take away the chance of anyone winning anything. Cater to the people who break the rules. Nice! Good way to make the game fair. Kudos!

If you read people's responses nobody wanted the drop rate to decline. They want it increased.
+1 this game does not only consist of one server arguing because they are angry that both sides are using runes just leave them the same and focus on more important stuff guys :)

Suggestion: Runes only work on crystals
This now prevents clans dedicated enough to farm these for boss fights from using them. The items overall value goes down and it becomes a situational consumable..
And that's exactly what it should be a situational consumable. Nothing else

People farm Murky/Sewers for cargos for getting the Smugglers tonics. Must have for hrung, but does that work on the Cragskor room debuff? No. It shouldn't. Would need to farm an entirely different potion from the tower for that. Same goes for the green pot from tower, it doesn't reduce the attack speed reduction from High priestess of Morrigan(or even Prot). Just because a clan dedicates extra hours into farming these doesn't mean they can abuse an already penalized lock system for their advantage, no , it means the xtals would be that much less of a pain for then in Gelebron raids, relying less on mages.

Nerfing drop rates just makes it a slap to both the convicted and neutral parties involved. Making it exclusively for xtals doesn't reduce its value. A consumable dps item shouldn't contribute to the lock % to begin with but that's another thread.
