Solitaire Clan Run

#1
DROP DICING POLICY

To avoid suspicions of favoritism and unfairness within the clan, Solitaire will implement the Drop Dicing Policy regarding drops from Boss runs. This policy is a requirement for Solitaire Clan Runs only.

Mixed runs with other clans or other people will still be governed with prevailing rules where drops are kept by individual players unless trading happens within that particular group or if a predetermined rule was set before a run. Solitaire holds no responsibility nor dominion over such mixed runs. And any untoward incidents are the sole responsibility of the people within that group.

In a group of 8 people, it is not unlikely that there will be one or more of the same class in a group.  To minimize fighting for drops, especially for class-based drops, Solitaire will use dicing to determine who can have said drop. The one who rolls higher wins.

Example cases below will be a group that got a warrior drop while killing a RED Boss.
Case 1: Suppose that there are two or more warriors in a group, if two or more of these warriors NEED that particular drop, they will be asked to DICE for the drop.
Case 2: Suppose that a warrior who got the drop needs it for himself, he will still be asked to DICE for the drop if the other warriors in the group also needs.
Case 3: Suppose there is only one warrior and he needs the drop, he must declare that he needs it, so that the drop can be given to him, otherwise, the drop is kept by the one who got it origianally, or the drop is given to bank, or is traded or offered to others within the clan.
Case 4: Suppose there are no warriors are in the group, the drop is kept by the one who got it origianally, or the drop is given to bank, or is traded or offered to others within the clan. Selling it outside of clan is strongly discouraged but not banned.
Case 5: Suppose one of the non-warrior members of a group has an alt-warrior, he MAY NOT ask to DICE for drop if there are other warriors in the group who needs it.
Case 6: Suppose that no warriors need the drop, a non-warrior member of the group may ask to offer a fair trade for it, or a Guardian may intervene at his discretion.
Case 7: Suppose another warrior is off-group, he MAY NOT ask to DICE for drop. Member of the Boss Hunting group is prioritized before others.

Case below involve Otherworld Boss that drop more than 3 items.
Case 8: Suppose that one of the warriors wins while ROLLING, let him offer his own drop to the one with warrior drop to make it fair to the other person.

This policy is still not complete. I may have missed some cases or instances. For any suggestions from solitaire clannies, pm them to me. Or voice out your concerns in clan chat, not in whispers. Guardians and General, help me out. :)

I fully support this process and I will help with any members that do not understand the system ..we used this same process on other mmo games it it has been the best way to make things fair for everyone involved...I would like to also and..and indi correct me if I am wrong...if you are a non soli member that has been invited to join us for a run you will also be expected to follow these same guidelines..we will inform you before we start fight so no misunderstandings arise ..thanks everyone for your cooperation in making this go as smoothly as possible..we do many runs so be patient your time will come we have had a few ppl get upset because the drop landed in their hands and they lost roll..it even happened to me...Alure with her loaded dice!..grrrrr...anyway..back to topic...we are not greedy and we are happy to share in the drops with any of our friends we invite to come along with soli to help out...feel free to speak with me anytime and I will do my best to help you understand why and how this is the best way for everyone.

Indi,
Your rule 7 should be revised. We sometimes have to do boss runs with more than 8 people and some of them will volunteer to stay off group for the benefit of others or questers.
Revision should state that if the off group was part of the raiding party from the beginning, they should have the same rights as killing party.

Problem with offgroup abi is that there will be too many who will say they helped..even nonclan or passers-by. It will be harder to control. It could also encourage Kill Stealing of boss in the case when other clans decide to "help". Or maybe im just being paranoid. :p We can discuss case 7 in-game when we get together. I'd like more output from other guardians. Only you and wud have commented just yet...where are the others??? Lol..server down..and they arent here reading.

Noted your comment wud. It belongs to mixed clan run. Predetermined rules before a boss fight. Problem i see with imposing dicing on nonSoli persons, is that not all of them would know what we mean by it, maybe they dont read forums, nor know of it at all..that will make us have to explain everytime we allow or invite questers. We often do allow questers on Stonevale main quest boss runs(usually wisps, i think) and faerie quests. Even strangers are allowed to join. Also, if nonSoli gets drop and was asked to give up drop because he lost in DICE, he might feel deprived(or worse, scammed). Unlike Soli members who will have many more runs with the whole clan and get more chances to get items. But in the case the nonSoli agrees to the terms before the fight, then all is good. Do i need to revise and make "mixed run" be one of the cases?

Well..I was mainly referring to bigger bosses..sv stuff I understand..but say for exp..we are doing chained or woodcrown..most of the time..at most we will have 1 non soli maybe 2.. And this is where I was thinking it would matter to discuss dicing with extras we invite..lower bosses not so much..but let's say crest bosses..that's where ppl in soli would like a chance at the drops... it's a lot of time and at times cost to do these bosses..please let me know how you and other guards feel about this..it's just my opinion.

Oh..and on the other offgroup issue...the example I think is..say I am in group and we are doing boss..and we have another warrior that needs to kill for a quest..well I drop but still play my part as healer or whatever the class might be that dropped and allow him in group for the quest but I was in original group doing the run...this is where the "offgroup/player" would still be able to roll for the drop..not lets say a few ppl show up just to help...speaking only of a group member dropping for a questing person.

I kept checking announcements and general discussion for news of the servers. It's nice to have something official to refer to. One thing still isn't clear to me. Would rings count as a need? I understand you don't necessarily NEED rings, but, for example, we killed Scion, who dropped a fabled ring of daggers. Cran and I (the rogues) both have it, so there wasn't a problem. If we did both need it though, could we have rolled for it?
