I find it funny when people say "it ruins economies"... no it doesn't, go back to economics class
Please do explain your argument, because i have studied economics and i really don't see how increasing the supply of a good doesn't decrease its value when the demand remains the same.
Stop saying random things you don't understand.

Lol do I really need to explain? It's more common sense really, increasing the supply of an item that is heavily inflated and sought after would increase the sales of the item and more gold will be flowing throughout the server... thus an overall better economy. Right now the small majority (rich) control it and of course they will do things that benefit themselves. Looking throughout history it's clear to say that an economy controlled by the rich is not a good thing.

I get it though, you're one in that small majority that only wants things that benefits yourself

It's an interesting approach I'll give you that. In some servers however, such as arawn, where gear is not sold, wealth is measured almost entirely in fash along with mounts. Therefore those who work hard to find the best fash and are able to keep it for a long time are those who can boast the highest wealth. It's not nice to new players but so be it. I was a new player not long ago, and I was sad I couldn't get the best fash, but after a couple years of effort I got my hands on the best fash.
Just because more fash is being injected into the system doesn't mean that the economy is thriving. It means that the point of focus of wealth is shifting to a principally money based system which is kinda sad because someone could just buy a unfathomable ton of chests and become the richest player on the server.
Before that no matter how much gold you had, you couldn't be richer than those who worked hard for their fash.
Therefore yes I would say it crashes the current system, because it completely shifts to profit the highest spender rather then the most dedicated.
Call me greedy or an *** who wants te world to burn, but I can't see this as a good move for the economy of every server.

First off can you explain "small majority" because it sounds very paradoxal lol

There definitely needs to be a distinction between "rare" and "common" fashion, otherwise the fun is taken out for a lot of people.
Especially when said people were already collecting what was said to be rare for years, and suddenly it's being brought back, as in it's not as unique to have anymore?? Not fair at all and a big mistake from OTM, regardless of it "making the economy better" or whatever desperate argument you'll try to form.

Do you really think that those chests make it any better for "the poor"? The only people who like the idea of them are those who spend hundreds of euros on chests and get rich from selling them overpriced, so in the end it still goes to "the rich" anyway, it just makes the fashion way less rare which is just horrible.
Revival chests (especially being released on iOS) are the lazy way out of making quality fashion for people to truly enjoy and spend money for, didn't think OTM could stoop this low. When was the last time we got content that made people truly excited, and got people to join, or even stay? You can log in as many times as you want in years and still find the same people, often those who have nothing better to do at their boring job other than to play Celtic.

Go grinding instead of whining, and you will be able to afford any fashion you'd like...

This whole post... lol

I see lots of people saying they wish to complete sets and want the chests to return... meaning they don't care if it gets devalued or if it's not unique, they just simply want to complete their sets. As for the economy argument... it's not even mine, it's what people like you brought up lol. I agree that it's a desperate argument that they brought up.

I was online when the chests were out and I can say that prices on everything were lower... yes things still go to the rich but with the chests everyone was benefiting so it evens it out.

The chests I imagine were released to celebrate the release of cross platform and a brand new server... so I highly doubt it's Otm being lazy. Every update gets me excited and keeps me playing, I don't know about anyone else tho.

You know nothhhinngggg about me haha. I have 3-4 toons, all on different servers, that have rares on them. One of which is worth a ton. I already have everything I need in terms of fashion, i just care about what others want and most want these chests.

I don't know what server you're on, Zkills. But the servers I play on, chests were going for 35-45k because players that could buy plat knew they weren't announced and so some didn't have a chance to save up funds. And as soon as those rare fashions were coming out of the chests like purple fg legs were being sold for 1.5 mil. And this was without knowing the chests would disappear. So, at least on 2 servers, the arrival of the chests were more expensive than normal chests because of the rare fashion and old fashion didn't go down in price. I imagine it wasn't just limited to 2 servers. I also am sure in some servers maybe prices dropped but can't say for sure as I only aware of 2 servers
