Any ex players of Runescape, what are your views on this?

Can Runescape potentially push Celtic Heroes out of the market?
It can and if the CH foods of the gods update isn't prestine, i think it will

I dont think Food of Gods update will have a say in it (im not even looking forward to that, its prob gonna be lame like Fishing  ) its the Corrupted Gardens update that will be a make or break for some players imo. If the new areas/bosses and drops doesnt live up to expectations then i can see a lot transferring to RS instead.

If the new zone doesn't solve current issues on lower boss farming, then I believe many are going to say goodbye to CH. 4+ years of killing Hrung/Mordris/Necro and a bleak outlook on Prot/Gele raid loot for the few years doesn't sound too enticing to me. New bosses should also be immune to Arcane Sanctum runes. This game has turned into Rune farming, which is such a bore. If only OTM could understand.

Its hard for them to understand and i dont think they ever will since they dont really "play" their own game, i dont blame them.. endgame really isnt that fun, its more like a chore 95% of the time

oopsies wrong thing, i meant the new zones and bosses LOL. Still food of the gods better be good or it will be just another boss to camp and grind for 3 years.

Lets hope that it doesn’t turn out to be like fishing that’s just content with even more tokens. Like honestly whole token system is what ruins it

Nostalgia is a huge thing, and that is partly what is keeping people still playing this game. A lot of us have been playing this game since our early teens, early adulthood, we've known this game to ease off tension and stress for tough periods in our lives, it has been a factor in shaping some of our futures.

But there will become a point when we will lose patience.

Your loyal player base will generate thousands of euros for you, all you need to do is make sensible decisions, communicate more with your players and give them what they want as long as it is in the realm of logic and possibility, actually care about the future of this game, otherwise sell this game to someone who will care because this game has MASSIVE potential.

Do not let Runescape successfully tap into the potential of the MMO mobile market. This game is different and more simple than that, let the whole market see.

Otm has a very loyal player base believe it or not. This game will do just fine

Lol, people don't play games for loyalty to the gaming company, they play games to enjoy them. CH could suffer massively as these new mobile MMO's are nostalgic for a lot of the player base CH holds. OTM need to step up and rethink minor designs so that the game doesn't look like it was designed in 2 weeks. Start with mordris targeting, that s*** is stupid af and has an easy fix.

We need to see improvements in CH... Loyal or not - if I enjoy something more than CH ofc I'll play that instead.

My loyalty isn't with CH... It's with my clan members that have camped for thousands more hours than I have so that I can wear the gear I'm using and those whom have levelled countless locker alts so that we can gear mains, I owe it to those people - I guess in that regard of camping and target lock, OTM's poor design has worked in their favour.
