Re: On mages and energy issues

Ok I'm not sure how much I can really contribute to this topic, but I have made multiple mages and usually fail. Though I have a druid that is fairly high level at the moment. I'm doing the exact same thing in doing with my mage as I did my druid because the are similar in some ways. Like my druid runs out of energy soo fast mainly from natures touch which is maxed at 20/20 it cost 84 energy.

First off my mage is only level...35 I think lol I can't remember something around that. So I don't really have new skills so I don't know much about that. But right now the only thing I have that takes a lot of energy is energy shield which I hate for that reason so I use fire cloak instead. It's pretty effective. I also try to balance out my skills until I get to a higer level and use rebirth and/or alteration books. This is my input if it sound irrelevant then I'm sorry I didn't read all the post.

Hi all,

I know celebration is coming soon and it is really exciting ;) but in this topic I wanted to talk about energy issues for mages and druids.
I was waiting long enough hoping that otm resolves this somehow, but i am tired of being constatnty without energy  (and this with energy sigils).
I cast one time ice sharads and it takes 1/6 of my energy in the bar (though i have more focus than health).
I feel its kind of unfair that rogues and rangers skill were repatched in a positive direction and mages have to buy energy pots for plat.
I really like new skill "sacrifice", in its original version, we could sacrifice less health for more mana, which actually has sense, but now its more health for less energy., what made me to go for other skill instead.
Or to make it fair for mages too, pls free to add us more melee damage

I hope people that are mainly skill casters will support me on that and hope that otm will make some improvements.

Thank you in advance.

And have fun during celebration time

I don't feel Mages should have much melee damage. But our energy regen is so slow and our skills cost so much energy. I just bought two more Energy Sigil packs today and barely notice any difference.

I just bought 150 sigils to put on top of my prior 30. Boy what a difference! I'm running around like a warrior killing everything in sight and keeping energy shield up constantly.

I'm a pure focus build.

Its worth a book of alt and rebirth to try it out. Literally im gaining xp 4 times as fast as before.

Nerfed Mage ~140
Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

It really seems that the new mage (update 3) needs to be statted like this:

Pure focus.

Then max energy shield.

Then you will have around 2500 energy at lvl 80.

Now to regen it you either can max med and boost, or buy 180 sigils.

Question and answer:

Tanks have about as much health as mages have energy and they have to regen it, so why are mages complaining?

Well, because warriors only have to max 1 skill to regen health, bandage wounds. They can get heals upwards of 300 every few ticks.

Also warriors don't even need to have bandage wounds, druids will heal them up to free in about 10 seconds.

Mages have as much energy needs as warriors have health needs. Warriors health needs are met easily, while mages cost $50 to solve (180 sigils).

The proof is this.

The highest char on my server is 140. There are about 50 charecters between 110 and 140. Of those 50, none are mages. The higest mage is under 110. Does that shed some light on this issue?

Totally agree with oleana!!!energy regen is killing the fun of mages druids class!!!and admin...if we put points in meditate energy boost etc we run out of skill points...to put in atack spells.....so we can regen...but we cant make damage...lol...so plz just give more regen to mages and druids!i understand...you need to get some money...and is ok normal!!!but not kill the game play of mages and druids...many people is watching around for other games...order and chaos...?at the end order and chaos have only an abbonament of 075 cent per month...reallyyyy more chiper then celtic heros!we love this game...so plz help us to continue...love this game and dont watch around...for beter and chiper...alternative...thx

I now know what it means to have a good mage ( I can level as fast as warriors) since I bought 180 energy sigils.

To make this experience available to all, and to see mages actually make it into the top 50 eventually, simply double the effectiveness of meditate. If you could get around 90 mana per tick for 25 points in meditate, that would solve everyones problems.

Take it from me, I know what it means to have my energy problems solved. :)

If people aren't maxing their skills and are still having energy issues I have no issue with them stating their dismay and issues. But I gotta say I see soo many people maxing their skills... Going 20/20 or 25/25 or even 23/25 and crying.

If you max your skills, you pay the price, You will lose 1/6 of yer energy bar if you max yer Nature's Breath to 25/25. Instead... Bring it to 17/25, maybe use a few Crystal Breath rings when you really need a better AoE for StoneLord or Rockalanche, but please don't complain if yer maxing yer skills. That's like complaining yer feet are on fire when yer jumping on coals.

I don't personally feel like you need to buy mdimarco's sigil amount to rock an awesome Mage/Druid, I see friend's of mine with great Mage's really doing great in game and they dont have the energy woes described here. Now..that said, I do still think the energy issues aren't fully satisfactory, small tweaks are always worth it to make a better more fair situation. But we have had a series of energy related patches and I feel we are going in the right direction. Let's see what kinda new regen items go into game and how that effects things.
