I'm just wondering does lvl or abilities matter more and what are the advantages to both. I'm also wondering what world i should stay on. i would like an uncrowded world with a close-knit group of players. I haven't played a ton but I know enough to know what I need to do. Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forums, Lots of abilities and skills matter dependent on what the class you chose, choose. As for the world to choose, there are many to choose from Least popular servers are at the top of the world select while most crowded servers are at the bottom.

Level is more important, because arbitrarily you can't do damage to mobs more than 10 or so levels higher than you. It makes it so if your a low level you can't group with your friends who are higher.

Level is #1 priority in this game.

I thought more populated servers are at the top because they have higher ping...

I thought that the servers where alphabetical becouse when i first started the world at the top was albion (or mebe another a name) becouse no one knows whats a freindly server willing to help folks like me out

Arawn sounds like a good server, got some good rules set etc, Ihaventbeen there myself but have learnt and heard much about it

Il check out arwan i dont know why i ever thought that that was my starting server it was gywidion. As another note whats the ping # in the world list and the green # at the bottom right of the screen?

The ping is a measure of your connection to the game server, and the lower the ping the better your connection (least I hope that's right )

What about the tiny green number on your screen? That seems to change constantly.

That green number is your ping whilst you are in the game, so it just shows you how good your connection to the servers is.

My ping has been naughty lately, It is in the 1000s lol.
