What I think active means is anyone who actively plays every day for an hour or more. A month ago I wasn’t active as I logged for maybe 20mins every other day. Now I’m active as I play for 3 hours+ everyday. Bossing or leveling has nothing to do with whether someone is active or not. There’s also clan activity which is what most clans go off of to hand out gear. Clan activity is more of the bossing/camping stuff.

If you decide to take a break from the game for a weekend, then you’re inactive for that weekend.

In Resurgence we base activity off of DL/EDL Attendance. The backbone of your Clan is the DL/EDL armour. Without the constant flow of drops for DL/EDL we wouldn’t be able to gear our new members.

Depending on your clans play style this view can vary. However as an endgame clan, you need EDL on all toons to even attempt Gelebron. This includes the EDL offhand skills. Thus this system was created by myself and another general in Resurgence.

Activity status:

To be considered “Active” or have an A next to your name on th DKP sheets you must have at minimum 70 DL/EDL attendances per month. We track the names on band. In this case, we only have 5 bosses that we actually take attendance for. Sreng, Troll, Flappy, Phantom, and Unox. These are the priority. For inactive people - this is anyone with below 30 Attends per month. They are ineligible to bid on anything at all. They need to work on their Attends and are represented with an I next to their name.


Attendance is reset every month. If you were active last month with 108 Attends (April) you are active for the next month (may). However if you were inactive for the month (April) with 23 Attends. You will be classified inactive the following month (May) until you bring your numbers up. So it is reset on a monthly bases. You previous months numbers represent the current months activity. You can go from active one month to inactive the following month by not keeping your numbers up.

We did this for a few reasons -

A) We have many longtime members who randomly pop on in and try to take advantage of the DKP system since they tend to have plenty of points. This just means that they cannot bid until they put a month of work into the clan again and get their status back to active.

B) it gives our new members a better chance of getting higher tier items since they are the ones putting the work in. You are rewarded for the amount of work you put in.

It’s actually a very small number to hit. Considering the time frames for DL and EDL are relatively short. In a 2-3 hour time frame you can get roughly 10 Attends. It really only works out to about 2 bosses a day. Log on once a week for a few hours, get 20 kills a week. 20x 4 weeks in a month is 80 kills a month for only 12 hours of your time PER MONTH. Now if logging on to help the clan for a whole 12 hours a month (about 20 minutes a day) is too much to ask for. Then an Endgame clan isn’t for you. (Not speaking you specifically Criminal, just for the person reading this) .

We have many many people who average more than 300 attendance per month. Including our chief. It isn’t that hard to hit. The clan average is like 130 per month.

Not sure why there are a significant number of humble and amazing people in Resurgence. As there are in any clan. Everyone has their rotten apples... unfortunately ours are very vocal. Thankfully most are gone and on other worlds now.

Only issue I had with it when I proposed it back in January of last year was that it only rewards players and not toons so you get a lot of toons that are never logged except to do bounties etc getting geared with gear because they use another toon instead of that gear going to a toon thats actually used, and we both know the peeps I'm talking about, but I'm not here to name and shame.

Each clan and each server has to develop a system that works for them. For some clans killing EDL and DL bosses isn't important really and it wouldn't make sense for that to be a metric for activity.
Tbh I dislike the way the OP is worded. There really isn't a notion or standard that works beyond any one situation.
