It depends on playstyle. I think the orb would be great for solo druids. The book would be better for group druids, but, as Teaweasel discussed before the update, focus benefits to spell power is not linear. The higher we raise our focus, the less each five raises of focus will improve spell power, so, for me as example, I have 610 focus, will an additional100 focus add much to my spell power? How about compared to a druid with 300 focus?
It's a good point. It's hard to judge the diminishing return of what that much focus does to you, and asking to borrow it from someone would be um...too scam oriented to take seriously, unless you've kidnapped their family and are using them for leverage to get it back.
My build wasnt high focus, it was kinda 3:2 Focus/Vit like 2k HP. Since i solo at times. I had 400 focus, I got the carbonated red book(Master's Grim) to raise it to 500. It gave me a good amount of bonus to multiple spells, around 50 to my Touch, 12 to my Breath. My DMG spells are doing sickly more DMG, especially my vines. But the nicest change is my wards, they are raising by many more resist/skill point. I still am hybrid but I am healing and operating like I'm a focus Druid.
I can't give good advice here. The 15 regen is great. But 300k is a sick price, all I can tell you is if you do buy it after tons of gold farming, you won't be depressed, it's a legitimate caster epic offhand.
