I came into a message on my desk from a guild that was asking for my head and job once. Was it one of the scariest experiences of my career? Yes. Should people act like this? No. But I'm not going to live my life walking on eggshells because society deems it I should live in a bubble VS teaching some people how to be respectful. Honestly, I haven't really dealt with threats like that in years. Even if I did, it wouldn't prevent me or scare me from living my life. Life has taught me if someone was going to be dangerous to my well-being, it doesn't matter how nice or polite I am or if I'm silent, scared or not, they would harm me anyway. So I say no at the bar or in the grocery store, I don't give excuses. I understand why many don't, but it's not me. Like I said, I'm not worried about it.
