And since someone asked, I should mention that no that is not an exact copy of the skyrim song... I took krypto's advice and changed the song just a tad through the program audacity so that I would not violate copyright...

Lol I didint do any auditory or anything, the point I tried to get across was mine sounded similar to the "Hampster Song" which is copyrighted. Sorry the point I tried to get across was misinterpreted. The songs have similarities i thought but nothing major. My suggestion to you is to use one of the songs YouTube provides so your not disqualified.

A remix of a song does not simply remove copyright.
You should look for royalty free music. Or under creative common rights.
for royalty free music you have a big chance you need to pay money. And for creative comments they ask you to link their website and the song name for free usage.

I completely agree and understand that but this is a non profitable event so in that perspective we can't be sued of anything because were not making money out of it therefore we should be able to choose any song we want...

I just wanna have a for sure on whether I can use it or not... if not ill just find some music that is for sure not copyrighted

If ya wanna be sure you can replace music on youtube. all the music they provide are free to use.
