And so it seems the Achilles heel of Epona has been exposed.
I've played this game long enough to have seen the toxicity and greed running rampant in unchecked endgame players, which of course is bound to happen in any scenario where limited resources are a factor. While I'm more inclined to support the "strong survive" mentality displayed here.. it does seem that unless you know people or are willing to drop a ton of rl cash on chests for gold... this may not be the best environment for newer players to join. Those with the best gear will get more of it, while the newer players will buy the scraps off the auction house.
Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it.
Re: What server should a new player begin on?
#22A difficult question that can only be answered with more information.
The server will change based on how you enjoy MMORPGs (competition, gear allocation, activity, etc).

#23You’re not digging deep enough into money making ways, I used to make 50-100k daily and my level had no difference on the amount i made, then the higher level you get the easier gold per day comes

#24Any server, asking this question will only cause people to promote their own server lol.Interested in playing, but every server I try it seems to be dead. So what's an active server that's beginner friendly?

Re: What server should a new player begin on?
#25I was actually promoting Taranis more than my own server (Epona). While Taranis is my old server I haven't played there in a long time and I consider Epona as my server now. Both times I started a new character I chose a random server, first Taranis now Epona and both have been pretty good which does support that any server can be good I guess.Any server, asking this question will only cause people to promote their own server lol.Interested in playing, but every server I try it seems to be dead. When you reach certain milestones do you like to relax, log in intermittently throughout the week and still have (albeit a small) chance to receive end game loot? A no pressure experience.
Do you see yourself working to make it to raids a couple times each day, and grinding effort to earn your way forward?
There’s two splits really; The top option - Epona. Or the bottom option, pretty much any other server.
If you like the bottom option, you need to find out about how each dominant clan or dominant alliance awards loot, their personalities, etc.
There a dominant clans that are relaxed and there are dominant clans that pride themselves on camping and downing bosses immediately.
Don’t let the salesmen here sell you. Talk to us about who you think you are as a gamer, and we can help you find a home.
You may think that servers are dead because the castle may not be full and vibrant or the low level zones you are in won’t have much traffic. Truth is, established players don’t always spend much time in those places. Someone created their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th character, they will quickly bypass the lower zones because leveling can be done relatively easy at the beginning.
One thing I can tell you is that the Celtic Heroes community as a whole love genuine new players and sharing their experience with them. You can get a lot of help from community members on this forum if you pick their server.
