Unfortunately the Magic Carpet Vendor is a very secretive and mysterious person, and as such I've been unable to find out how much the carpets are going to cost. Everytime I tried to ask they told me to politely move on, otherwise I would be attacked by a horde of flying carpets :P

You can get some pretty serious carpet burns from those flying rugs! They sting like Aggragoth's fiery breath!

This would be consistent with the tradition of carpet sales throughout history. In fact, I would say we should be careful believing anything the carpet vendor tells us, particularly regarding prices.
