I agree with that tea but on the mount planning horses are widly over played and id like to see something else.

This update inferiated me at the start and still does. I believe it is a huge step in the right direction and is for the better it wouldnt have been so bad if the public didnt push for OTM to release the update and let us tester do our job.

Along with this update comes great additions but it has made pure skill obsolete any clan or person with money is on top im not bashing but look at United from Rosmerta they killed Aggorath it took them 4 hours and probably 100$ of dollars in plat with idol usage.

Also training alone is impposible for a druid our damage is pathetic a ranger can heal almost just as much as a druid with the right build and rings. the druid class is in shambles and you may disagree tea but you look at it from your expiences alone and not the publics view. The worst part about the situation is that , and i know they are busy, the devs dont listen to the public on the druid class when we could have such simple fixes done to it.

(Im not gunna lie i really want them to just take druid off the character list and relace it with a shaman or something cause i want to feel special with my limited druid class hehe)

A main thing that makes this game so great is that all the vendors all take the same kinda money (gold)
With alot of other games it requires you to buy 'special coins' to unlock a certain weapon or armor peice.
And with this game it is a free choice if you wanna buy plat or not, for all the non-plat spenders they spend time grinding for money in order to buy elix ect. from other players (which i admire) i have a friend who is lvl 86 and he has not ever used an elix which is quite amazing and has acquired full warden armor and wep with ammys and offhand.

This is a big difference to alot of other games and those games should learn from CH

General game play
Philosophy – Onethumb needs to make a decision about what is the purpose of this game. Do they really want to emulate the real world of an era when lawlessness was common or do they want a nice little game that people can enjoy without all the drama and stress of real life? Do you really want to be another WOW or something else? As a free game it appears that the goal is a wide audience of all ages and maturity levels. Since it is an iDevice game it is expected that people will play for short periods of time with interruptions. Much of the game encourages a hostile player environment where scamming and KSing is encouraged by the lack of game controls. In the real world people have the freedom to make their own decisions but this is a game. My preference would be to make dishonesty impossible in the game. If I wanted drama I would play any number of other MMO games.

Patch content choices – I will not badmouth any content that the devs have taken the time to create. There is some great stuff, but I would much prefer that many of the ideas expressed on the forum were addressed instead. Why can’t we get the skills to display the effect our items have on them? Why can’t we see our sigils? There are a lot of solutions to solve the KS problems but nothing is done about it. There needs to be a portion of the forum where admin/community posts what changes they have decided to implement and why. Then let us help decide the order to implement them.

Biggest negative –releasing buggy content. Just stop it. Stay with small well tested changes.

New abilities - good addition to the game but it takes way too long to level them. Even active attempts to level are not very successful.

Quest completion – It is impossible to complete many quests without higher level toons helping/exploiting you. Each area has a target level range. The quests in those areas should be achievable by groups of toons in that range. High levels should be discouraged from disrupting the lower area quest lines. Way too often the higher toons monopolize lower areas for the sole purpose of selling the drops to lower toons. This is a game that should encourage fun not extortion.

Required Drops – It is ridiculous how infrequently you get the drop you need.

Economy – All Vendors should buy back items at 80-90% of value. It is too expensive to throw away money on mid range gear. Gold drops are ridiculously low.

Plat – There are really two games here. A plat game and a non-plat game. Currently every item in the plat shop is available for gold except sigils and hotspots but you have to pay a middle man. So why do plat buyers sell their plat items. So they can get more gold at extortion prices. The current system encourages exploitation. Plat should only buy gold. Everything in the plat shop that is tradeable should be available for gold. Cut out the middle man. (But then onethumb will lose money. No they will make more money because the current plat middle men will have less of an income and will be forced to buy the gold for the new items the vendors keep coming out with. Impatience will win out.)

Specific instances: I really didn’t like the double xp weekend for the same reason mentioned by others. I just happened to be unavailable that weekend and now I am 4 weeks of leveling behind all those who were my level.

I think that the update has had more ups then downs, and overall I think Onethumb has done a great job at being responsive to community feedback with tweaks, patches and fixes. There is still tons to work on, create and improve, but I am confident you guys are on the right track. In the future, short and snappy updates are DEFINITELY preferable to massive ones like update 3 however.

'Trade-by mail' and an 'Auction House' should be highest priorities, particularly the former as adding this feature would finally put an end to having to use a third party to transfer items between toons - thereby reducing scamming. The auction house will finally alleviate 'shout trading' and stabilize prices of items (or at least allow people to shop around more) which is also a boon.

More quests in the other biggie in my opinion, definitely a necessity in the OW and also Stonevale. Repeatable quests, long quest chains, one-off-quests, all sorts of quests! The quests drive the story and give purpose to an otherwise monotonous grind. There should also be more friendly NPCs in OW, perhaps hiding in darkened corners of the realm (these could be faeries, or other creatures - it is just nice to be able to engage in some dialogue sometimes).

A new class would be cool, although not NECESSARY, IMO. I think that a Bard class would be the logical choice for this game as there is a STRONG bardic tradition in the Celtic culture. They could combine a hodgepodge of other class skills or characteristics and use 'Songs' in lieu of spells to create a range of effects. If there is ever going to be a class that is unlocked by reaching a certain level, then it may also be a good idea to add 2 classes (one new start class, and one 'prestige class' that is unlocked by some kind of achievement in-game.) Personally, I think that Bard should be available from the start, and some sort of Faerie should be an unlockable...

Yeah, I agree, Update 3 was so big in terms of content with the very small amout of active testers, bringing in a redone Castle, Lir's and all, new items, PvP, Arena, OW, new bosses, all that, I agree with Tea, put in 2-3 well polished things at a time so testing can be concentrated to certain things yielding better results than having it all diluted where we don't accomplish much. I must say, I think crafting should/must be in the next update, if not, some well designed minigames, like some Infinity has mentioned, like sort of protect XX with so and so waves of monsters or raids, etc.

@BLRD: I feel your pain. Have you tried interrupting the boss AoE spells with very fast attacks? Id like to see rogues either get a much longer "quick reflexes" skill that lets them interrupt bosses or have 1-2 interrupt skills in the first place.
I've tried everything possible to interrupt.. Super haste elixer with Knuckblades don't even work lol. Afraid their is no way around it :(

Area:
The New Farcrag and OW are nice new area. But we want more new area!...
- area specifically for clan raid (can only be done by at least 2 full group) with big bad dragon to kill guarded by score of powerful guardian..
- area specifically for group raid (quest based / event based area) where you can gain points, and you can buy stuff with this points.

Crafting / side job:
we can earn something other than from killing mobs.
- blacksmith, sewing, gem cutting, even fishing...
- get resources first then begin the real crafting session
- you can fish fishes, or with luch, you can fish golden boots of regen?

Event Based boss:
- specific boss spawn triggered by quest done
- the boss will drop a kick ass amulet, rings, or whatever with fancy stat on it.

and many more...
The Name You'll Need (eventually)
Druid of Avalon
Morrigan
