The Golden Carps caught from fishing the Rippling Vortex (185) have a description that sounds like it can be used to make a dish / food, if it is, where do I get such recipe? (I'm lvl 170 cooking), they're worth 5k each so I thought I should ask about this before thinking about vendoring them.

I asked this question once and never really got a reply from OTM, but other people that cook and fish have said they haven’t found any recipe that uses Golden Carp. I wish Muldar or someone would confirm if one is coming with update or if it’s just a misleading item description .-.

Hey, any update on this yet? 2 years to make a recipe seems a bit steep lol.

If they make a recipe it won't be worth 5k. That's CH M.O. They want you to trade a fish worth 5k for a recipe that gives you 5 minutes of some weak focus or vitality. I'll pass. They actually have a quest for medium xp where you have to give them a King Angler worth 4k... Seriously...I'll take my 4k. They don't care about fishing. That's why they haven't up graded fishing areas past the 3 high spots. To get the level 6 bear you have to be level 190. I would have to quit all other aspects of the game and fish for the next year in a half non stop to get to level 190. Not realistic or fun by any standard.

1. I agree that any recipe that used Golden Carp would not be worth 5k.
2. If you ever got to level 190, you would turn in the King Angler for the medium xp daily quest, as it's one of the few ways to make xp at that level.

I'm now up to level 187 and half way to 188. This xp event definitely helps and the xp event at the end of the month will help as well. At least they gave something....I'll take it.
