There are some fantastic comments and posts in this thread, and I'd just like to thank everybody who has posted so far for taking the time to write them.

I'd love it if people could continue posting in this thread with their thoughts on Update 3. The more feedback we get from you all, the more it will inform the team when they are making decisions regarding new content and the next update of the game. At some point I will be collating what people post here and present it to the team, as I'm sure they will all appreciate the feedback you have provided.

This post will just regard the 3rd update and not any future updates.

The Otherworld:
I think the quest to be able to get into the Otherworld is great. When I first entered the Otherworld, it was very confusing. The colours were a bit messy and the enemies weren't very clearly laid out. However, since I have got used to it, it's actually quite a good world. The colours and look has been revamped and it looks pretty good. The bosses seem to drop OK stuff.

Improvements:
  • Make the Otherworld bosses drop a bit more gold. At least over 500 gold.
  • Add a few more features on the map. All it looks like is one big, plain area with a few towers. Maybe locate some trees or mushrooms, because everything looks a bit out of proportion.
  • Some 2* enemies that are 5 levels higher are easier to kill than some 3* enemies, 5 levels lower.
Rescripted Enemies:
Stonevale enemies started off at nearly impossible, but are much better now. I still try to avoid some branchtwisters (even though I'm level 88) but overall it's good. Bosses seem to spawn fairly. My only issue is the occurrence of the rare mobs. The pink unicorn, the daemonologist, goblet dropper, smelter, taxman and boar spawn a bit too rarely, while the goldleaf wisp and rare faeries spawn very rarely. I've been camping Fireflight and the Faerie Queen for almost 2 days straight now and haven't seen them at all; I haven't seen any of the aforementioned mobs since the update either.

Overall, pretty good though: I'm probably moaning now.

Bank:
Great addition. My only problem is ordering my items. For example, if I clump my skill pages together, I need to shift EVERYTHING along one in the event of gaining another page that I want to put in my bank. It's a bit fiddly and tabs would be appreciated.

New Quests:
Some good new quests, I would like to see some newly thought-out ones now. So less of the "kill [enemy]" or "obtain [item]": make it a bit more interesting. Mini-games would also be good, as would daily quests. As some people have mentioned before, how about a 'mystery box' (see this post).

Trading:
Good job for obliterating those scammers! I look forward to the auction house and mailing system.

Subsequent Patches:
They are now becoming frequent and very good with fewer bugs - excellent!

That's all that I can think of :)

The only thing I didn't like about it, is i was experiencing intense lag, app crashes. I don't know if it was my device or connection, and i also don't know if it was because of the update or birthday things(if it was the game). I now figure it must have been my device, cuz now i use the families which i can't get on often.... The lag normally happens around bosses where many players are huddled. But i was playing and pressed inventory then...CRASH!
The app went down. It takes forever to start back up on an iPod 2nd gen, but after it did, i checked inventory again.... Crashed. Twice in a row. Even on the third time it did. it finally started working but it was annoying. If there is a problem to this, please fix it, and if not... :( Im stuck on the not-so-different family pod.(and i can't get a new one of my own :x )

Nice post He Who Shall Not Be Named. I support some means of sorting things by category, mostly because I am such a noob that I still don't know what is what and am afraid to sell some things. As a result my inventory is definitely a pain to use. Tabs within the Other category for Jewelery, Quest Items... Pages!

The new lux for the ranger is a bit lack luster, I expected the arrows to have an animation similar to the new lux swords daggers books and orbs u know the glowing aura us rangers dont have visible offhands, and we fire volley after volley of arrows and having the arrows glow accordingly would b a really nice touch to counter the monotony. Flame arrows should have a fire tracer ice arrows should have a frost tracer and magic arrows should have a lightning tracer. Also moves like pummel and sharpshot should have an animatin like an arch tracer when a warrior swings his weapon same for the ranger. Just some ideas to spice up the visual appeal of combat and keep players interested.

Okay I've got a lvl 107 ranger and I think the mobs difficulty is great for me, with 2k life I'm able to recover from most bolas evasion and such. I think my only huge problem with gameplay now are camo charms. When u discontinue an item u need to erase all of that item and refund buyers or keep it in store. All the highest lvls in crom have camo charms... While I don't, so I get mobbed with spawns durring boss fights. We iether need to get another type of camo item back, or all camos need to eliminated. Because the camo has been discontinued they sell, if by some miracle someone is selling, or over 800k in Crom... So I'm highly disappointed in that, at the very least we couldn't been warned what items would no longer be available for purchase BEFORE the update came out.

Update xp is amazing but ithink the ranger (which is my main character) is hardest to maintain. Rangers have to have strength and dexterity to be good withs skills and bow damage. If it could be changed to strength like rouges it would e much better. Another thing i dont like is the blocking avoiding and evading stuff and lv caps on bolas and entangle. I used to be able to solo alot more but since this evoid stuff i cant do stuff as easily. Overall update is pretty cool except for the things i mentioned
Born a Beast
Stuck somewhere in the 160s
Called a noob everytime im on #getonmylevel

General game play
Philosophy – Onethumb needs to make a decision about what is the purpose of this game. Do they really want to emulate the real world of an era when lawlessness was common or do they want a nice little game that people can enjoy without all the drama and stress of real life? Do you really want to be another WOW or something else? As a free game it appears that the goal is a wide audience of all ages and maturity levels. Since it is an iDevice game it is expected that people will play for short periods of time with interruptions. Much of the game encourages a hostile player environment where scamming and KSing is encouraged by the lack of game controls. In the real world people have the freedom to make their own decisions but this is a game. My preference would be to make dishonesty impossible in the game. If I wanted drama I would play any number of other MMO games.

Patch content choices – I will not badmouth any content that the devs have taken the time to create. There is some great stuff, but I would much prefer that many of the ideas expressed on the forum were addressed instead. Why can’t we get the skills to display the effect our items have on them? Why can’t we see our sigils? There are a lot of solutions to solve the KS problems but nothing is done about it. There needs to be a portion of the forum where admin/community posts what changes they have decided to implement and why. Then let us help decide the order to implement them.

Biggest negative –releasing buggy content. Just stop it. Stay with small well tested changes.

New abilities - good addition to the game but it takes way too long to level them. Even active attempts to level are not very successful.

Quest completion – It is impossible to complete many quests without higher level toons helping/exploiting you. Each area has a target level range. The quests in those areas should be achievable by groups of toons in that range. High levels should be discouraged from disrupting the lower area quest lines. Way too often the higher toons monopolize lower areas for the sole purpose of selling the drops to lower toons. This is a game that should encourage fun not extortion.

Required Drops – It is ridiculous how infrequently you get the drop you need.

Economy – All Vendors should buy back items at 80-90% of value. It is too expensive to throw away money on mid range gear. Gold drops are ridiculously low.

Plat – There are really two games here. A plat game and a non-plat game. Currently every item in the plat shop is available for gold except sigils and hotspots but you have to pay a middle man. So why do plat buyers sell their plat items. So they can get more gold at extortion prices. The current system encourages exploitation. Plat should only buy gold. Everything in the plat shop that is tradeable should be available for gold. Cut out the middle man. (But then onethumb will lose money. No they will make more money because the current plat middle men will have less of an income and will be forced to buy the gold for the new items the vendors keep coming out with. Impatience will win out.)

Specific instances: I really didn’t like the double xp weekend for the same reason mentioned by others. I just happened to be unavailable that weekend and now I am 4 weeks of leveling behind all those who were my level.
+1 to this more than any other post.

Also we should get roughly 4 plat per level. 1 plat per level above 20, 2 plat per level above 40, and 4 plat per level above 60. This would allow for charecters to get a basic amount of sigils (or 1 elixer every 4 levels) so they can play the game at a reasonable speed. It will also prime their appetite for plat heh.

Energy shield for mage needs to be lowered to a 45 second cooldown instead of 60 second. Energy shield cooldown is definatly THE bottleneck of the mage if you are not counting energy issues.

Also mage armor (like diamond) needs more of certain resists to offset low armor. Mabye mages could get extra fire and ice resist and druids get extra magic resist for example.

Finally there needs to be plat subscription plans where you get discounted plat from having a monthly subscription. I'm sure this would be a godsend for you all to have a stable income. Mabye 500 plat a month for $20 a month.
Nerfed Mage ~140
Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Copy this sig! :)
