The hard part for me was to make it spawn. Than damn Stewart kept coming back again and again. I was level 25 with my druid. It wasn't so hard, just time consuming. It took over 20 minutes to kill him. I was alone and used roots, vines and lighting strike.
There is a safe spot behind the Blackstone guy.

I used the same strategy to kill the 3 Dustwither bosses before moving on to Saelmont Ravine at level 40.
