This question might be more suited to be answered by people involved in scripting the game, but I'll give it a shot anyway.
Since defence rating effectively reduces your change of being hit, I would imagine there would be some sort of hard cap, and maybe even a point of diminishing return or softcap. Since putting more points into dexterity raises your defence rating with no cap in effect, wouldn't it be possible to reduce your chance to be hit by 100%? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Re: Defence - Is there a cap?
#2I don't Know how its managed yet, but a good answer to this would Be some Kind of parabel. So you would never resch the 100 % but it goes more and more in this direction
Re: Defence - Is there a cap?
#3Hi there
It's the players defence vs the enemies attack rather than defence on it's own.
Does that help explain it?

Re: Defence - Is there a cap?
#4Thank you that does help actually, but does that mean there reaches a point where if the monster could have an attack low enough that they would not be able to hit someone with a very high amount of defence?
Re: Defence - Is there a cap?
#5I've had the same question myself. I'm going for a tanking warrior and have put 180 into vitality with 40 dexterity. If dexterity affects defense greatly I need to get more to be a good tank.
