Stop the monopoly or fix it please

#1
Stop the monopoly or fix it. It as gootten very frustratting, that eve me being level 77, I still almost havent been able to kill anny boss. Theres this monopolly of users over 100 level whom, are just pursuing the bosses, trought the game, they dont let anybody but "the gang" to help them, and them they sell the discs for k's of gold, its imposible to make a 70-80 party guys that we could win fair to the bos and start getting our warden stuff but is imposible, you either make the boss spawn faster, or put controls on this people whom are making the game a pain for some as loyal and probably bigger spender $ users as myself.. Thanks for your atention, the game is the best, i dont play any other last 2 months!

+1 CH is turing into Gangs of New York (movie reference). Good thing there are enough good people in Beleneus that this doesn't happen on every boss, but definatly still does on Falgren and wisp bosses constantly.

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

I agree with you. There are two people I can point out on my server to camp the bosses and kill them as a duo in Stonevale, so they can monopolise and sell the drops for a very high price, as they are the only two who have the items the lower levels need. It's very frustrating and I'm forever trying to get my clan to a boss quickly enough so we can aid the lower level players.

However, my advice would be to find a good clan (look at your world's clan leaderboards) and join them. Level up a bit so you're more likely to get a group and you'll be in a group all the time! You can even offer drops away for free when you're in a group so they can join with you again. I used to be excluded all the time but now I'm forever helping! :)

I hope this helped.

im not sure if its quite the problem, any newer high level player had to level up before they got their warden
Slightly, but there were never groups of lvl 130's slaying bosses in under 60s when the old school players leveled up.

I am of mixed mind on this. Usually I personally don't like whining and asking the game to change, but the fact is that as a new player, and remember the game was reinvented, re polished to make it more appealing to new players....a new player simply CAN't succeed in this game with higher levels just wrecking their needed bosses.

Nd yes, older players grinded and leveled up and fought hard for many months for their frags, and for some reason new players feel like they need and have a right to frags after coming to SV for a few weeks. But there needs to be a middle line... And right now the very new player base that the game designed an update for, is being kicked in the face.

And it will blow up in everyone's face if higher level players leave to grinding boredom and lower level player leave to questing impossibility. We are at a serious crux in the game. And people simply need to be more accomadating to eachother to help us all get thru it.

yea i agree with that, and i think its a HUGE problem when high levels start farming defectors (cata bosses is a touchy one for me because they drop the meteoric weapon diamonds)

there is definitely the problem now where a group of 80s which is what would be killing the sv bosses pre update cant do it because the 120-140 groups are farming out of boredom/greed

i have to say though, the game is expanding fast in its player base and new players are levelling faster than before which means high level clans are expanding and need to go back to the old bosses to equip the newer people

its a touchy subject in both directions
pigman, with the fury of the pigs and the mind of a man
level 210+ rogue
Morrigan
Avalon
put your pants on, we're going out

What are all the things you can do in this game?
1. Level
2. Farm gold to buy stuff
3. Collect required stuff for quests.

Leveling is easy, you kill the highest level mob you can.

Farming is a matter of how much gold per second can I make. So you will find high 100-140 in stonevale, shalemont and dustwither clear cutting every mob in sight to the dismay of the lower levels. We need a reason to stay in OW. Why does a level 122 Stone Golum drop the same gold as a level 22 Disciple of Donn? Considering the fight and the recovery it takes me 3 min to kill that golum for 7 gp when in that same 3 min I can completely clear out the cadaver wing and the skelly wing of dust getting an average of 5 per kill and more depending on the item drops. Am I cheating the lower levels? Yes but that is what the developers want us to do. If not they would change it.

Collecting required stuff is problematic if camping encourages some boredom relief. Example: Belly is a level 80+ mob even though it is in lirs. Having higher levels walking around lirs is good because the lower levels get motivated by seeing these impressive toons. But nobody walks over and kills hairy because it is a waste of time. Hairy is always up. Lower levels get their quests and still we get some interaction.

If hairy had a decent gold return then everyone camping belly would be raping hairy's camp for something to do.

Other good examples: Luther, the prison guard twins, Marshal Gannon and his letter,

Bad examples: All the defectors, Falgren, Dustwither bosses,

IMHO toons need incentive to stay with the content that is designed for their level and disincentive to disrupt other content.
If you already have Warden you should never want to kill Falgren
