What if you made to gold gained proportionate to the level similar to how xp works.

If the highest level toon is equal or less of the level of the boss then full gold given. For every level over the boss level 2 percent reduction in gold or something like that. The idea is to talk away the benefit with higher level.

Looking at this long topic, I suggest the following 2 options -

1) Remove the drop but replace by the number of times to kill those bosses to complete the quest

2) If it needs to keep the drop system, may be do it as follows

a) make the drop NO TRADE and perhaps something like to do the quest for Tammy sword, brooch etc., the items are non-tradable however sometimes it will drop to the ppl who doesnt need it, which is quite annoying so I suggest to improve it that the drop shall not come to the ppl who has completed the quest, and also work out the system where number of drops increase when the group mate increases in the fight ie. for example 2 people in a group gets one drag and 4 people in a group gets 2 drags and so on, that way it will avoid frag going to the ppl who does NOT need them and it would effectively prevent possible greed happened for farming the drag for money.

b) have at least 2/3 bosses or more ph show up oftenly like 10 -15 mins each time and each time it guarantees to drop the drag after kill.

I actually have no idea about the lock system and perhaps it is too complicated and too much argument between the ppl who has completed the quest and the one which hasnt (I wont define high or low lvl because there is no absolute high or low, they are all relative), it will never end the topic and eventually nothing will be done to get the system better.

Offcourse no system is perfect, by saying the above may still not totally resolve the current issues. Personally I also agree to level up one's strength and grow to a certain level otherwise it only defeats the purpose of this game, and on the other hand, work w stronger team to help complete the quest and fight the boss together is also fun but this sometimes not easily to get rid of the other side issue like ksing etc., depending on how the players treat the way of playing the game.

That's not a good idea. Guaranteed drops just ensures everyone and their mother get full warden in less than a day. Where's the challenge? This isn't like getting your Shoreline armor and weapons from the newbie quest.

Theres nothing wrong with system right now, just people are not puting money out to kill bosses themselves then they blame others for killing, and we try to sell drop but people are too cheap to buy, was selling crown for 3k... I remember when they were 50k.... Its the people who are complaining who need to do something, do not change the drop system or how you kill stuff, KSING is not real in a MMORPG please someone lock this topic its insidios and just generates more idiotcracy. This is a game if you think you can simply overcome, please do not quote cause i dont feel like reading whats next. Thank You.

What are all the things you can do in this game?
1. Level
2. Farm gold to buy stuff
3. Collect required stuff for quests.

Leveling is easy, you kill the highest level mob you can.

Farming is a matter of how much gold per second can I make. So you will find high 100-140 in stonevale, shalemont and dustwither clear cutting every mob in sight to the dismay of the lower levels. We need a reason to stay in OW. Why does a level 122 Stone Golum drop the same gold as a level 22 Disciple of Donn? Considering the fight and the recovery it takes me 3 min to kill that golum for 7 gp when in that same 3 min I can completely clear out the cadaver wing and the skelly wing of dust getting an average of 5 per kill and more depending on the item drops. Am I cheating the lower levels? Yes but that is what the developers want us to do. If not they would change it.

Collecting required stuff is problematic if camping encourages some boredom relief. Example: Belly is a level 80+ mob even though it is in lirs. Having higher levels walking around lirs is good because the lower levels get motivated by seeing these impressive toons. But nobody walks over and kills hairy because it is a waste of time. Hairy is always up. Lower levels get their quests and still we get some interaction.

If hairy had a decent gold return then everyone camping belly would be raping hairy's camp for something to do.

Other good examples: Luther, the prison guard twins, Marshal Gannon and his letter,

Bad examples: All the defectors, Falgren, Dustwither bosses,

IMHO toons need incentive to stay with the content that is designed for their level and disincentive to disrupt other content.
If you already have Warden you should never want to kill Falgren

I am getting so tired of all the whining people!! And I so hope admins wont lissen to them. If you ask for a little increase in drop or spawn rate I can understand. But there are so many people complaining here, those people want everything to be tooo easy...! For my opnion the game is in someways already to easy, what is making the game boring but admins almost never put a reaction on the good suggestion topics? No they react on those crybabies...

But to get back on topic. If you are the right lvl and have a good team you can kill those bosses and get disks and crests. And no you dont need to be in big clan, you need a good clan!

Some people in Morrigan maybe remember Eclipse it was a very snall clan that could kill almost every boss.

I'm level 116 and I like this idea. I have to say my level so people can't say that higher levels will hate it.

It would help stop some of the "armeggeddon of the whole zone" farming which I do from time to time, and may provide an opening for OTM to increase gold drops in the otw.
