Is anybody seeing my point that Warden quest is not the end all be all armor quest and that the gam. should reflect that. The higher armor quest should be where people make their money. If it is next to impossible to get warden armour then people will not get the others. I still feel luke high levels are extorting drags for gold.

I certainly see an issue with this particular bottle neck.

Having other PHs drop dragon disc fragments will not fix the problem and may even make it worse. There are 4 types of players hunting for disc fragments and there are two types that seem to drop less than the others. Elms and Dragons seem to drop less frequently. As for players, there are Warden armor questers, Mains trying to equip alts, Greedy sellers, and Clannies trying to equip clan members.

There is also a misconception that because you have the quest that you deserve to be in the group killing Falgren. Sorry, only applies if you can take a hit and do a fair amount of damage IMHO.

The only real solution is to fix the drop system so that it drops the needed items to the correct people. Yes this means a code change. But in the end, it will fix the game permanently for dragon discs as well as crests. High levels that help still get the gold and XP (and maybe an incentive of extra gold for getting kill) but the discs should drop to the highest level that still has the quest open. One should not need to kill Falgren and then watch as the lower levels get the dragon disc drops. I have even been in a group where a level below 50 got a dragon disc drop. (That was infuriating!) On the other hand, I have been denied entry to a group of 5 when killing Brutus (I started at same time if not before) and got the kill and the dragon disc drop (which was needed) simply because they misjudged my characters DPS capability. (They were infuriated!) I have also watched levels 140+ taking kills in the meadow wearing full meteoric armor (or better recently) just to get the frags they need to equip alts. If the frags would only drop to the quest bearers, this problem would cease to exist.

Honestly, no system is perfect and will irritate someone no matter how it is done. But this bottle neck is too big to ignore any longer.

At the moment, if there is no fix, my only reasonable course of action is to build my characters to a level where any boss can be done with a single team mate and control the group members. (Grouping has flaws too but is a whole different subject!)

Mind you, these are not complaints! I actually find this game incredibly fun and enjoyable most of the time. It just has certain major design flaws that make me put it down and not play for days at a time.

I'd love to help fix those problems so that myself and others could enjoy the game even more.

Papi and Tea (among others) have touched on some of these issues in various posts.

By the way, if anyone at OTM wants a breakdown of how the drop system should work game wide, PM me and I'll draw it out in language that a programmer can understand.

I may not be understanding the "target lock".

Someone suggested no one outside of the group containing first attacker could target???? This would prevent out-of-group assistance killing or a clan using two groups to kill a high lvl boss. That's a problem.

Seems like we are talking more about the idea that the first person to hit "owns" that boss unless they die and the boss resets in which case fair game for the next "first" attacker.

I do have a little concern about attack speed for various classes, and maybe I would just adapt my style, but it already happens that someone (usually rogue or warrior) will come and hit a boss/mob after I have started to cast a lure but before the lure lands. It is usually an unintentional KS.....they can't tell I am casting. So I guess my mighty diamond wand will lay down a whopping 12 points dmg as my first hit in the new system, but a rogue with sneak is still gonna get it first

And a theoretical question...if the first person to hit gets kill, even if kill is finished by someone higher outside of grp.
Does this mean I can gather up some friends, take my Druid to the golems, lay down the first hit on two or three, run like hell and let my clannies finish them and my Druid walks away with all the xp?
This would make for killer levelling potential :)

I really hate it where you're preparing for a boss fight and your clan gets to where the boss is, say we are waiting for a druid, another random group comes in and attacks before us. Then if we join in (Trying to win out kill) They say KS. I'm sure they can see that we're preparing.
This game seems to go World v World, Clan v Clan. It's a harsh place. Luckily it doesn't happen to me as much as the people there often invite me now.

The only thing I suggest is training up to a high enough level so they will accept you in the group, they usually wont accept you if you wont make a difference. Then after that they "usually ask for the drop" (Another issue for lower levels getting discs)

The devolpers of this game should be smarter then most of the people that give a opnion on this forum. Is the problem really ksing? Or is ksing a result of? Just something to think about!

There is no monoply in this game, it is so easy to get items up to frozen for people not in a clan or not im the strongest of clans, all you have to do is assemble an level up, leveling up means you accumulate money, so 2 things down, with your new wealth and level you can get into a good clan and get gear all you have to do is put the work in. I have not put any money into this game and i have 4 mill worth of items. I own almost 50 percent of new lux shop not becausi buy plat. Its cause I sell stuff to lower level people so thy get geared. But now a day they are very cheap and do not want to buy when the prices of my goods are so low, I am geting tired of lower levels telling me excuses , just buy the stuff and be happy. Its simple and does not require target lock because they can not assemble to kill the boss regardless. It is the players fault for not being able to level up not the game or other people. No one kses monsters 4 star and below 99 percent of time its just bosses because they need gear aswell. Someone post a good legitimate reason to change the game and waste the developers times if they consider, I would rather have new content.

We have a friendly ks war with the other large clan on rosmerta. The reason is both clans are tryin to gear 200+people each so we need lots of frags rems tabs and crests . Maybe with the crests they could make the bosses drop one of each color everytime. We have a lvl 134 rogue that has been campin lava for weeks and has not gotten a purple and neither has the other clan cause their rogues is not geared frozen yet either.
