I am adding solutions to the main text of the post as people post their solution.

What if instead of a target lock there was a first hit contribution of 25%. So the first hit gives the equivalent of the credit of 25% of the kill's hp?
whats to stop people from camping bosses to get first hit, still a flawed system as most will be. whatb happens if that person dies and dont use idols and repawns at port does he lose the 25% dmg or does it goto the team? how are u ment to code that one?

seems if you all wasted as much time on lvling rather than thinking of better ways to improve a system which has been in place since its birth... well before most of you got here.... we would not be having this discussion.

there is no fair way of tryin to work it out other than shaftin the plat spenders who waste money on idols, if you are going to introduce a system u have to have the option to be able to spawn where you die and maybe lose some xp in the process rather than having to purchase idols... least this way it always gives you an incentive to have to train also if you happen to die 30 times and lose half a lvl.

i refuse to pay for idols during raids if there is a locking system put into place or any of these other flawed systems.

got to think of whats fair for all not just the little guy who wants his shinny armor.

I don't know why you all keep attacking us. We are just talking about different systems.

Currently i am a lvl 141 mage. I've had full frozen astral for a few weeks now. Collectively our clan has gotten over 450 crests. We have killed aggragoth three times. So please keep the posts on topic. This is not about making the game easier. It is about making the game more fair. You had a chance to kill bosses at lvl 115 without higher lvls to ks you. Now current lvl 115s cant get a boss in because high levels push their weight around.

My system is not bad. Who cares if the person dies and resurrects at the leystone? big deal..

You get the first hit then you get 25% credit. Its simple. So if a group is at a boss and has the kill at 75% then it cannot be stolen.

And how does that stop the high lvls from not getting the kill? just all camp spawn points seeing there is nothing better to do in game.

ill power level a druid and use root until my buddies come, hold off a boss single handedly.

As i stated before and i shall say it again, UR STUPID SYSTEM IS FLAWED!!!!

you fail to see the bigger picture, introduce something for the higher lvls to do so all their time isint just waiting no bosses to spawn, dont matter what system you introduce if there is nothin better for me to do.

Dont be upset because your system sucks. Just because you are fully upgraded and ur clan has probably done all the work for you no need to turn it into a flame thread. Play with fire little boys get burnt.


im over these threads..... lets all get to lvl 145+ and take all the competition out of the ame and lets leave nothin for anyone to do at all, Wonder why i wasted my time tryin to level so i can kill these bosses. Maybe u all should play angry birds or club penuin dont think there is ks there.

The only problem with system is spawn times make a second server on every world I say this gives more bosses so more chance of people doing them. This game has expanded a lot and a lot more can do these bosses do why not increase the boss rate or something untill a second server can be created. Ksing will still occur of corse but not half as much because twice as many bosses to do and having to log different servers just to get to boss aswell would take more time. IMO introduce a pk server where most high levels would go (I would) where bosses spawn twice as fast this then gives 3 times as many bosses and is expanding with the rest of CH. because atm the system inst flawed its just CH has not adapted to the amount of high levels

What if...
The first group that takes X% damage/agro* (% of its original health - not worrying about its ability to heal) gets the lock.
X being a number between 10 and 25

Leaves rooom for FFA, and competition remains... but gives groups a chance to keep it when all DPS groups arrive.

Also... It would be probably be good, if the locking thing happens, if surrounding players know the beastie is locked, so they don't waste their time/resources on something they have no chance to get.


*not everyone wants my opinion, but personally, I think anything that gains agro (damage, buffs, bolas) should all count towards the kill

Hm... I mentioned this somewhere else, just putting this here for the sake of having all ideas in one place. Also, the drops only going to the person with an open quest isn't my idea but I forgot who's it was, sorry!! :oops:

I didnt see this suggestion on the front page, hence my post.

How, about

- Only people with an open quest can get frags
- People can only get frags they actually need
- Frags are non-trade
