@Loki - You are talking about two different situations.... I expect more from you. As to your second example, if three hunters are shooting at the exact nanosecond, and the difference is based on the speed of the projectile, then the game mechanics will determine the kill. Simple as that. It's the same as if I press my 200 lightning at the same moment as you shoot a 500 arrow (can't see each other due to draw distance) on a 190 hp mob... you will shoot your arrow and kill before I can cast my spell. Your kill.
Your inital example didn't talk about exact nanoseconds, but rather in sequence... shot: deer runs, second shot: deer limps, third shot: deer dead. It is still difficult to determine who gets the kill in that situation... how much of the death is due to blood loss? How much of the third hinter's effectiveness is due to the first hunter hitting the deer in the leg and rendering it incapable of running at its normal speed?
Let's give another real life situation:
I am at an unlicenced bare-kuckle boxing match in Ireland. The champ offers to take on anyone willing to step in the ring. I've had a few pints and am feeling pretty lucky, so I step in the ring. Since I've seen Snatch several times, I do quite well at holding my own, and in fact, start to see the champ wobble a bit. I'm starting to feel good about the situation.
Then, out of the blue, someone jumps the ropes and whollops the champ with a silver hammer to the head. Champ goes down.
Who gets's the win?
Even bare-knuckle boxing matches have rules, Loki. Maxwell would certainly not be given the title.
