Yea, when it comes to Lures, my clan tries to have the different Mages try to max different Lures. I'm more of the Slash and Pierce Lure boy. I don't have either maxed though, as I seem to be grouping with the same number of Warriors as Ranger/Rogues.

I also still run outta Energy from time to time, and it frustrates me. Well, I confess I don't play with Meditate, Boost, or Well. I'm Lux and Sigil driven. Sometimes I pot to get some back too. If the Frozen Armor would have an Focus bonus larger than the Diamond gear, then that may solve some things. Maybe Focus would translate into Energy bonus. I'm wearing some super dooper Lux gear and running out of places to hang gear on. I need a Platinum Toe Ring of Energy Rejuv. Lol.

doesn't sound like you reached Nirvana yet and hit 400 energy sigils :). Only time I run out is in long boss fights i I am nonstop casting. If I slow my casting down and wait for the sigils to kick in once in a while im golden.

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Yea, I've purchased Sigils of both kinds ever since they were made available, I think with update 1.0. I have no idea how many I'm sporting, but trust me its a ton. Maybe I'll get that helm, but will I loose a Focus bonus if I drop my Diamond helm?

Well I can out dps most people in every class around my level except rogue :evil:. Keep in mind I maxed my lure of fire, lure of ice, fire bolt, and ice shards. Plus I have ice shards rings ;) 4k of energy goes a long way too lol.

I still sometimes miss the good old days before the update where I prob was THE king of dps and there was no evade so my massive damage made it to the enemy all the time :D

Waia sec you are talking dps on monsters right? I figure that 10 in fire lure and 7 in ice lure is best for pvm so you can get more points in the actual damage skills. I tested it for max dps and I should be right...

So what do your skills look like with all rings on?
Lure of fire 30/30
Lure of ice 30/30
Fire bolt 30/30
Ice shards 36/30

Well I actually went crazy trying to figure out how to balance spells and used up like several books of alt and rebirth. For me, I can reach max dps with points spent in maxing main spells. For mobs I may not be able to out dps or gain the kill but with bosses I sometimes get it.

Grr I just noticed the message above lol. I can not solo golems unless I bring my hp up to about 1.8 - 2k. But I usually level with friends so it's not a real problem :D

Ok nice, ya I figure that your build is the best available for DPS on bosses. On normal mobs it is probably best to lower lures and add incinerate to get more DPS.

I wish I had friends to consistently level with :). But until then 31 in eshield baby lol.

Honestly, why do people always wanna out dps others??? Mages are built for being indirect, cloaking the tank, Throwing up lures, sacrificing or energy boosting someone. It doesn't always have to be who gets the kill. I'm a level 115, and my clan takes me to wyverns because I can cast maxed lures to help them kill much faster, and thus getting me a lot more exp. normal other class 115 players dnt get 15.5k xp per elix, as fast as they would normally kill one monster.
I like where I'm at, and sure soloing sucks.... But do what mages are supposed to do, indirect DPS, group with someone.
I will occasionly browse the forums, but for the most part im done.
