so the situation is that i have maxed out quick strike, rend, sneaky attack, and assassinate. well i have 4 extra skill points that i haven't used so im debating on distract or bandage

bandage, it shortens down time and with a really good tank the only way you will die is an AoE attack

Wow, well I have bandage wounds maxed and I am the rogue with the third highest heal on my world Epona. I always end up using it to support the druids in keeping the current tank alive (to make sure they get back up to full health).
I used to have some points in distract, until I realized having points in distract wasn't worth it without having dex maxed and so I re-skilled to start upgrading hide skill which uses cunning instead of dex. I think tanks should just try to do their job better and stop making us rogues pick up the slack for their lack of taunt. We should start a protest against lousy tanks or something lol

Or you could do what I did and embrace the problem. Made my rogue a kick-ass tank (inb4 "omg rouge tanks suk unfathomable") I hold aggro incredibly well unless I am fighting with a dps rogue around my level or above and having high reflexes/smoke bomb really helps with supporting your group.

I agree Distract will work with high DEX. It seems that the developers are trying to open the alternative for a rogue to become a semi-tank (an aid/support for tank); but still I think this build is not well matured and might not be super effective. But yes, the real tanks should do their job in any team.
