Mariner: for a mage I think it was like 7.25 energy decrease per unit weight on average. Different depending on what class.
I will try to do an experiment tonight, and report back here what I find.

My issue is that, when my warrior gained 5 more focus (from a level up, with no other changes in equipped gear), my Energy went from 40 to 52.

So far, the question is either:

Is the energy deduction for equipped weight % based, or a set amount (like your 7.25 energy/weight)?
Or
How much energy does a Warrior get (and other chars, eventually) get per unit of Focus (or at least in increments of 5 focus/change)?

I'll try to figure out how to take pictures and post here too, for evidence.

Ok thanks mariner, this would be helpful for the wiki.

But from what I've read focus should be a standard 5 energy per focus since update 3.

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Edit: I will need to double check my Warrior, but I don't think I get 25 Energy when I dumped 5 points into Focus. Is the 1 Focus = 5 Energy for All classes?
Hey Mariner. As you note in the other part of your post, how much weight you have will affect your Energy. This is why many Druids and Mages wear lightweight armour, and use lightweight weapons. I think the numbers that are given are assuming a naked character.

You noted, of course, that removing all armour increases your Energy threefold. As for figuring out how much of a reduction results from each unit of weight, I suppose you could strip down, check your energy, then put on a weight 1 item (cloth cap or something), note the difference in Energy, then swap it for a weight 2 item. Adding in increments of 1 each time, you should be able to plot the reduction in weight, and figure out if it is a solid number, or a percentage.

As for why you had 125 Energy with 20 Focus, are you sure you were completely naked? Is it possible that you removed your armour and weapon, but forgot about the jewelery page? If you had a necklace and/or ring on, it could be giving you the extra energy. Were you un-buffed? I think there is a mage buff which adds to the energy base. Just some thoughts.

Dersu: double checked and I had nothing on when I saw the 20 focus with 125 energy.

Unfortunately can't figure out how to upload to photobucket!!!!

Instead of leveling on my warrior and adding more points into focus, I went with a L1 instead.
Results at level 2 (forgot to check L1 lol) I have 15 focus and 94 energy!!!
What did 5 focus give me? From 41 energy to 62 energy (with armor on) or 21 energy for 5 focus.

Pix! You'll have to open the pix in a new tab, sorry!

As you can see, it's not 1 focus = 5 energy when adding focus, or with no weight deduction

Idiot, your name is mariner91.

After doing some math on the Naked stats, 1 Focus = 6.25 :)

So there's still some Qs re: How exactly does equipped weight affect that number, since my mage still got more per point while geared, than my warrior did, while geared.

Interesting focus gives 6.25 energy per point. huh ill have to check on my char. An if you figure out how weight effects energy on each class post it and ill put on the wiki.

LOL i'll try but, don't really have the resources to really experiment. As it is, there's some rounding issues cropping up that's complicating the numbers a bit.

I will see what the next few levels on the baby warrior will show. I'd rather not keep dumping Focus into my L54 warrior lol since I don't have excess (or any) book of alterations.

Has anyone figured out if theres a ratio between armor value and damage received? Thats useful information that I did not see on the wiki

Excellent question. I have asked and gotten no official reply. It should be the same with any resistance like slash, pierce, fire, ect.

Very important. We need to find this answer.
