There are some great ideas here, and I'll be passing them on to the team.

Hopefully in a future update we'll be able to incorporate some of them to make the Arena a more appealing place for players to go to.

Based on what people have been saying, what would they prefer out of the following options?
  • Have the Arena spawn a series of mobs that players can fight.
  • Have the Arena spawn no mobs, but improve it's ability to host PvP.
  • A mixture of the two - so for example 1 week the Arena spawns mobs, whilst the next week it's used for PvP.
Arena is supposed to be a Player vs. Player zone. Not player vs. mob. If I want to fight mobs, I will go outside of Farcrag.

Put PvP fixes in instead of making Arena just another PvE zone, and pretend nothing is wrong with the PvP mechanics.
Don't forget gladiators in the colleseum fought animals sometimes

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Out of these options, my vote is for the mix.

Also put a second leystone in farcrag by the entrance to the arena.

Done, the arena will become a new hotspot.

Mixed Pvp and PvE would be good. Although PvP sessions could be longer. Also 1on1 tornaments would be a good idea and prize could be a cheapish sort of thing from the item shop. Perhaps to stop high lvs beating low levals only allow them to play in lv 40-50 if they're lv 40-50 and 50-60 etc. i hope this will be implemented in the next update.

+1 for the leystone, sick of walking through Farcrag to go to arena.

I think just clan vs clan and grp vs grp arenas will be cool!

+1 for the leystone, sick of walking through Farcrag to go to arena.

I think just clan vs clan and grp vs grp arenas will be cool!
The reason why there is no leystone inside is so that no one can fast travel within the arena and escape a fight.
If you fast travel out while you're in battle in the Arena, it's as if you lose (the other player gets PvP xp).

The distance you have to run is way way way!! To far get boring running. Also this is a PvM game atm there is no great thing to do PvP wise no clan wars or comp in that area so that's why it fails.

I definitely don't think it's a good idea to add another leystone.

It's true that most 1-on-1 PvP occurs in the castle courtyard. The arena offers group PvP action, but it's rarely utilized (at least on my server). I think it would be fun if a mob with a long spawn rate spawned in the middle of the arena, esp if it's an Obelisk type of mob. It would need to have some sort of prize -- either good gold, or mid-value rare drop.

This could make for very interesting face-offs. And I could see group battles easily carrying over after the mob is already dead.
