From lv 50-55 train on boars. 55-58 train on red wisps. 59-62 train on faeries. 63-69 train on blue wisps. 70+ bloodgrove monsters.

I recommend trainin in groups of two , both of which about equal level. It will be much faster to level up.

It's probably worthless. Sell it in shop. I get a lot of weapon frag from bloodgroves and I sell it at vendor for fair price

I am a lv75 mage. I max out Fire bolt (20/20) and put 18/20 in Ice Shards, about 13/20 in energy boost, and about 8 points each in both fire and ice lure. And rest in bandage skill.
