Silence Is Golden...

Hello young beasts (and not so young beasts) of Morrigan. Having managed to annoy a lot of people in a few clans on this server with my forum rants, I decided it was time this old mage buggered off for a bit. My ranting had run its course and I must hold the all time record for forum bans . I had left Triquerta because unsurprisingly <name removed> hadn't changed from the very difficult player I always found her to be. <<Please do not flame other clans!>>>
Everything that happened in ZA was simply repeated.....fantastic clansmen, crap leadership. So there I was, making a complete arse of myself, promoting Triq as being run 'honestly', just as I had in ZA. I realised I was on a game mouse wheel where nothing changes when it comes to many clans and nothing will ever change unless clans with high level and very experienced players are run with scrupulous honesty. Perhaps that is happening in Triq now. I have no idea as I haven't played the game for so long. I hope it is surviving and it is now run properly because like ZA, when I left it was bursting with many fantastic players.
Like the song, 'Silence Is Golden' I left Triq and left the game and actually even ended up leaving where I live. I have been living and doing manual work (so nothing to boast about) in a part of Scotland called Kyle Of Lochalsh. Up there I have no ipad, no mobile phone and just lots of Pine Forrest, deer, rain and gales. It is fantastic to work outside in such clean air. It is utterly exhilarating and exhausting (exhausting in the right way).
This is not some soggy leaving speech (I mind the third owner of 'Bob' loved making them and then he kept coming back!). I haven't left the game, I just needed a break from it as this forum and a good few players in the game needed a break from me. I will play again but only to fart about and with no hope of ever being in a top clan that isn't run corruptly. My expectations were obviously too high. Of all the criticisms I received on here from Avalon and other clans, while some were incorrect I accept some were spot on. While <<name removed>> made some pretty wild assertions for someone who had never actually worked along side me in the game, whether by accident or perception he did make one truly astute comment. He wrote once on here that I am not a 'player' but rather an 'observer'. I balked at that but in fact he was/is completely correct. I always found the characters of the different players more interesting than repeatedly killing the same boss types and the endless levelling torture. In fact the latter has shown me that I must be some kind of masochist.
Since returning home for a very short time (to sort a few things out) I have taken a look at this forum and I totally agree with those who have written about CH needing more horizontal rather than purely vertical expansion. The endless aim being primarily levelling to do higher bosses becomes extremely boring. There should be an expansion of trading (a market for buying and selling rather than tedious shouts or selling via this forum when many players are not even signed up to the forum). There should be more fun in CH (crafting for instance). Why not have some chests that have a treasure map....that kind of thing. Expanding fashion items doesn't cut it for me!
Last but by no means least, the very best part of this actually tedious and in many respects boring as hell game that I selfishly spent way too much money on (bet this gets edited!), has been meeting beasties of all ages, religions and cultures. At the end of the day CH is proof that there are always far more good and decent and talented people in this world than the few unfathomable bags who cause endless problems.
I hope to spend some time back on CH at Christmas.....no doubt everyone I know will be mega high level, flying around on new mounts etc etc. To those who have put up with me for so long in CH despite my rants, who gave me their friendship despite my failings, thank you so very much.
All best, Zap PS Apologies to all clansmen in Triq as I still have your Shriver set (and it is the property of you all, not who ever is Chief now). I just tried to go on game for a few mins so as to return this at long last (there was no intent to keep/steal it), but can't get in. Apologies to Keri also who has kindly loaned me valuable items....I will return your invaluable cam charm or get my cousin to return these items in my absence (if she is able to do it).
