Gelebron’s Tower Beta testing is in full swing and soon we’ll be releasing another update that includes floor 4, the Summoning Chambers and floor 5, the Forbidden Halls that we know will blow you away as much as the first three! These two are just as full to the brim with deadly adversaries that’ll really test your mettle.
We’ve received a lot of positive feedback on the new environments and mobs and the art team are really pleased with the kind words that have been directed their way. In a few weeks we hope to bring you a behind the scenes look as to how we created Gelebron’s Tower and the mobs encountered within. We implemented a few new clever tricks and techniques courtesy of our Tech Art wizard and we think they made all the difference to the quality of the levels and we ended up with something quite unlike anything seen in Celtic Heroes this far.

For those of you frustrated that you haven’t go into the current closed Beta; fret not! We’ll be opening the Beta program up very soon and extending it to the Android client as well. We’ll have more details soon on this.
Needless to say we’ve still some surprises up our sleeves when it comes to Gelebron’s Tower. Even seasoned Beta players will have something to look forward to when we release the game out into the wider world and its greatest and deadliest secrets remain hidden from even the mightiest of heroes.

As work on Gelebron’s Tower begins to wind down for most of the team they’re starting to move on to other projects including our crafting system. Initial prototypes have been very positive and we’re starting to flesh these ideas out and bringing the art team into design meetings. They’ve been starting to think about the look and feel of certain crafting activities and how these are reflected in the world of Dal Riata. Once we’re happy with this direction we’ll be able to reveal a few more details as to the first crafting activity you’ll be able to start learning.
This year we’re very much focussed on adding a lot more depth to Celtic Heroes with features like the crafting system but that’s not all. Plans are afoot to provide all of our players with daily challenges suited to your particular level that should provide some lucrative experience and gold. We like to keep you guys busy.
We’ve also been working with our Support team to improve the tools they use in order to better respond to tickets and help requests. As previously mentioned we have a relatively small support team and we receive hundreds of tickets a week and we strive to answer and resolve each one as quickly and efficiently as we can so anything we can do to improve the Support team’s workflow should benefit the players as well. One of our recent hires was assigned this work as a way in familiarise himself with our tools and codebase and he’s done a fantastic job. He’s now the idol of the Support team as he’s made their lives just that little bit easier. In the coming weeks I’ll see if I can pry him away from his keyboard to answer a few questions on what it’s been like to the join the One Thumb clan.
There are some more Special Offers coming up in the next few months including weekend sales and giveaways amongst other things. You won’t want to miss out on these!
Look to the East, Heroes. The sun is rising and the air grows sweeter. Ostara draws near.
