There seemed to be a common illusion of gold when trading them in huge numbers.

It's hard to detect with all those 0's.

So I suggest:

When gold bypass 1000, for example, 1001.
Change the display to 1k 1g

well for 1000000 (which is confusing with all those 0's), for example 1000001 (your eyes should be exploding now ).
Change display to 1m 1g, so that this could prevent ppl from confusing you with 100000 (which is 990000 less!!!)

another example, 1234567g (lol)
would be displayed as.
1m 234k 567g.

I know this would be really hard for OTM but here's why.

one 0 made the difference, but that's a BIG difference, considering the trade display, all those 0's 0_o.

Hope the letter system could be implemented in CH.

im in herne and have been approached by this scam before, its very easy to spot for me, a method that might work is ask for 987654g or something like this

I get where all of the *it's your own fault* people are coming from, but I myself am not always on my guard. Ive known many people who have been scammed and I know a few who have laughed at the bad attempts made. After hours of leveling, my mind could be a little out of focus. I have not been scammed yet, but I have had a problem where I lost a lot of gold and items. It doesn't feel too great. Sometimes the scam can be avoided by being careful, but the people who have been scammed are not responsible for losing their gold. The scammers are. Scamming can never really be stopped as long as we have player to player trades. I hope the auction house decreases the number of scams when it is implemented.

People... If you click accept it is a fair trade. It is not another persons fault you didn't read. Everyone needs to stop making excuses and own up to their mistakes. You have to understand from OTMs point of view. How the heck are they supposed to know if you feel 100k or 1mil is a fair deal for an item? They can't.... All they see is a trade occurred. As far as they are concerned you want your money back because you don't like the item anymore. Open your eyes. It is impossible for a third party to tell if someone was scammed. All they see is you are bitter now, but they have no way of knowing if you understood what was being traded at the time. Because they cannot tell how you thought that very second they must assume it was a fair trade because you accepted the trade window twice. It's not complicated... I've never been scammed just like many many other people. If all of us can avoid being scammed, why can't you?

In the midst of all the 'scamming debates' a small minimal typo caused me to laugh as well!
Also begging to ask and admit, 'DAGUM I WANT THOSE TOO!' Lol

Wtg and my 2 cents is ive seen alot ive had ppl try and yes even when I was a lower lvl 'noob' so to say
I fell victum 2 the same type of scam, man alive it certainly irked me, I tell you this I got WISE quick son!
Eyes peeled peeps, it sucks but we have to adapt, be cautious and aware, ppl 'WILL' try and exploit every single area they can, but you could really Make them look a fool when you catch someone trying this and blast them out in a shout!
Fools run, and slows them down while making others aware of the impending situation
Just my suggestion not always the best but still OTM cant as sum1 said distinguish fair or not trades, true and yes I to am A plat buyer and no OTM didnt refund my 'fair, ( UNFAIR to me lol ) trade scam' I wish. Good luck out there everyone an try and have fun!

When trading stuff use someone who had something to lose. E.g. A cheif of a top clan... Aileron,myself,elim,guffy. Not all cheifs but if we was to scam our names would be tarnished and would effect our reputation. I wouldn't lose my rep for full rad,exp pendant and a camo personally and I am sure most high lvls think this way.

I once asked someone to transfer 30k for me. When they traded me, they put 300k and accepted. If I was a scammer, I wouldn't have told him and made 270k. I always count my zeroes and so should everyone else
