Lol ok thats interesting. I think its good idea but its too level biased, its too easy for lower levels to get lock. What support have done is while tryin to make things fairer for lower levels, they have made it unfair towards the higher levels. This isnt nice because te higher levels put on the effort to level, and probably sped real money on the game, only to have it ruined by biased target lock. Just my thoughts

Fair question. There is no doubt that it sucks when you have basked a boss down below 50% and still not got target lock and then someone else comes along and locks it after one hit. I suppose at that point you can just log off, log on and see if the other player can survive. I was quite against it but tbh I think it is probably a good thing. Given that a lot of high lvls are now starting to get their dragonlord gear then there will come a point in the next few months where we are like we were before the last update - lots of high levels boss hunting and looking to sell drops. That would give low levels no chance at killing bosses. So, all in all, keep target lock. It is a bit rich when lvl 180+ complain about being locked from a lvl60 boss.

it seems that target lock has removed the notion of "ks" and turned it into "who can lock first". I love starting a fight (which in every other game technically means it is mine), having someone come up and "technically" steal my mob, watch them get lock, and then watching them die because I have stepped back refusing to help someone who thinks it is OK to KS.

I have no problem with target lock other than the fact it gives nub Kill Stealers an excuse to KS.

Some of the "nub kill stealers" need the boss for their quest, think in their perspective please.

I understand target lock is supposed to protect the lower levels against higher levels taking boss kills, and also protect groups from ksing others, but sometimes it can be a pain in the ass, especially when you like to go for super low level bosses in comparison to your level, and end up losing lock to a posse of noobs that didnt even do 1.5 more damage than you

In fact, the more I think about it the more I am in favour. Should a high level really be crying because they have half killed a boss and someone else has then locked it? As someone said the group that has locked probably needed for a quest. Also - as I said and someone else agreed - you can always just step out of the fight and leave them to it. If someone else has lock - even if you started it - and you still keep attacking the mob, who is the fool?

I quite like target lock how it is, but i agree that instead of the amount of damage needed to lock it going up the larger lvl difference between you and the boss, needs to be maxed at 30-40%. So no matter what, you will have the lock once you do 30-40% of its life, if not earlier. (I say 30-40 because im not sure which would work better).
