Your asking the wrong question Infinity.

For OTM to passively allow gambling in CH there has to be positive effects for the game, the players and the community.

And there is no positive reasons to allow it. The reasons that could be supplied to allow this are easily replaced by adding other enjoyable content.

This is primarily a kids MMO. If you want to dice, go ahead. But if you broadcast from the top of a mountain get ready for the lightning to strike.

Well said.

Hey ok, so I completely understand you. The reason why I'm still asking if there's anything left negative about it is because I will then show the solutions to all the problems it has and then show the benefits of it.
Except this post will have slightly less hate in it. Lol.

OTM has already made dicing... They already put it in the game... Yes they didn't see the potential use of dicing but never the less it was implemented.

Gambling is Illegal for minors.

Implementing gambling in a game where real money can be transferred to gambling chits (ie gold) to allow minors to gamble would be illegal.

I pointed this out in the last thread but you called me ignorant for doing so.

And this isn't a general topic for discussion, if you are making a suggestion for an addition to the game move it Suggestions and Feedback. And you got plenty of feedback already, you don't need anymore.
This is fake gambling for fake money. It doesn't say anything in the rules about gambling with fake money.
And I COMPLETELY understand what your saying about being able to buy money with real money. But it might as well say... " donate money " for worthless gold.

Otherwise you should be able to take your phone or iPad to the register and trade over your gold coins...

Let me tell you a story about a butterfly...
There was once a butterfly
But before he was a butterfly he was a caterpillar, and then he changed into a cocoon and then became a butterfly.
Great story eh?
Well the money was once real money, but then it was changed to fake money and is NO longer a caterpillar ( real money)

So now that we both understand this is FAKE money we are talking about here.
I can now proceed with my point.

Wait, before I do... Let me explain something that you guys might not understand...
Being a dice host doesn't ensure you profit... You can still lose it all.

That being said.

This is something fun and exciting for players to do.
I have people who tell me it's the most fun they have had since they started playing CH.
And others who thank me over and over again for showing them how to play.

So there is no question that it's fun and exciting.

It teaches people ( not just kids ) how to use self control.
It will teach them either the easy way or the hard way. ( what's wrong with learning the hard way? )

It spreads wealth around.

It's addicting... Angry birds is addicting... Is that bad? Other games are addicting... Doesn't mean addicting is a bad thing.
The fact that it's addicting, that will make OTM like the game because it keeps people playing their game.

Your gonna like this point..
Sooooo you talk about how it's real world money that we are gambling for... Well it's not exactly real world money because it's not required to use real world money... You could play the dicing game and win lots of money without ever buying even 1 plat.
BUT! You can buy plat, and you can buy gold with the plat. Which meanssss... The more addicted to dicing that players get. The more possible chances one thumb has of making money.

So let's recap.
I'm spreading the wealth.
Teach players valuable life lessons which could possibly save them thousands of dollars in real life!
Possibly and probably making one thumb more money ( I'm sure they don't like that )
I'm giving players more excitement then they have ever had.
I'm confused as to what's so bad about dicing....

Idk if it's because infinity posted the idea that people don't like it or whether they're actually all against gambling. If so.. Anyone that's hoping for staking to come in duels.. Dream on. That is gambling.

I also read someone wrote the dice were introduced to decide boss drops.. But hold up, isn't that gambling? Roll the highest for a ring, if you don't roll higher than him you lose.. Seems like gambling to me.

Can anyone propose an idea that you can use dice for that is not gambling? I honestly can't think of 1 but I'm half asleep so that might explain it lol..

Anyone that Dices knows how fun and exciting it can be.. Anyone that does not dice.. It does not affect you so no need to hate so bad :/

Just my opinion :)

It's just a different form.
Hmm... Thanks for your post man.

it actually is not gambling if your deciding gets the drop. Gambling in all the definitions I looked up is mainly a wager of money for an uncertain outcome or a bet.

And when for example:

Player 1 wants Dragon disk that dropped from falgren.

Player 2 wants the same item.

Player 3 got the disk and wants to give it to both, but cant.

Player 3 has them both roll and whoever is highest gets the item.

----------------------

The last thing right there may seem like a gamble, but what is missing is the fact Player 1 and 2 are not risking/betting/staking/wagering some form of money or item for it.

I think the community has spoken Infinty. Give your lame idea of organized gambling inside CH a rest.

1 person has spoken favorably for your idea.

This is my last post on this topic, no more feeding the troll.

I think Anexander is right. Good bye, and thank you, Mr. "20 Year Old Rich Businessman Who Still Has Time To Play Celtic Heroes."

It was a great fight and you obviously lost by community argument, but admin will decide this all.
