What's with all the beta testers??? Not trying to be rude but they all talk(and when I say talk I mean type) like 12th grade English teachers "therefor" "thus" "I have come to the conclusion" I mean they are the only ones that type with so many comas and use those words are they required to do that? Or do they just like to do it because they feel since they are beta testers they have a high position? NOT TRYING TO INSULT it's just really no one but them talk like that on the forums so I was just very curious.

Many of the beta testers (and normal forum users) are intelligent and educated. Those of us who are, have learned that by using clear and concise language, we are able to make a statement and usually not need to post further explanations or clarifications.
A general exception to this is when we need to correct ourselves or if we come up with additional information related to whatever topic is being discussed.

I once said that different names could make people feel more powerful. But the beta testers got their green names so it was easier for loopworm to see who was beta tester or not.
Yes, I'm trying to use commas now actually. But because I'm also not a grammar god I don't really mind when people don't do that. But I hate people using lots of CAPSLOCK in a serious post when they try to get someone banned. I also saw people post words like w8, b4 and that some stuff. If you try to get serious you should type serious. If the topic is fun or a really great idea. you can make a quick reply of course with words like b4 but just don't use it to many times.


PS: I also think the length of the post affects the grammar people use.

Grammar is over rated. We should just throw food at each other to make our points known.

I'm not a beta tester, and I use proper English. Even when I text, I use correct grammar and spelling. When people use 1337speek or lolcats, it both irritates and confuses me, as I c4n7 und3rst4nd a th1ng they say. Writing out "dese hear words" gets under my skin, as it displays an ineptitude with homophones and an attempt to bring a degradation of the English language into the written world.

If you can't understand what I say, it's most likely because you'll need to peruse through a dictionary in order to learn what the words mean. And, luckily for you, the words I use are actually found in the dictionary.

I have received a decent grammatical education, and I utilize it, in the hopes of propagating this knowledge to those who are otherwise unable or unwilling to accept it.
