I don't think it would be a problem to keep the double gold going all the time.

I worked my butt of killing lvl 85-135 bosses with groups and farming shalemont and stonevale and made roughly 100k through the weekend.


I think changing gold drop to be double always would lessen the gap between gold buyers and gold grinders.

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?

P.S. not all gold drops were doubled I got several 15, 17, 23 and 37 drops not sure how though cant really remeber ever seeing an enemy droping 7.5 gold before. :? :?
Out of curiosity, did you happen to be in a group/partnership at the time? If you were partnered with someone, for example, and the mob normally drops 15, it would have been doubled to 30 gold, of which your take would be 15 gold.

Likewise, since there are no 0.x gold amounts, if a gold drop wasn't evenly divisible by the number of people in your group, there would probably be a 1 gold discrepancy among the members. (ex. party of three fights a mob which normally drops 16 gold. It is doubled to 32 gold. Two people would get 11 gold, and the third would end up with 10.)

That's how I can best figure out your issue.

No I was ungrouped when I recieved these drops, I was only grouped for boss kills. Call me greedy but I dont share my gold looot :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

....Would really be interesting to know what the average kill per hours, then you could figure how many days of mining it would take to obtain some of the higher end lux items.
OK lets calculate it
I think I average more like 35g per kill when you include vendoring drops.
Average 4 min per kill - 1 min for the fight, 2 min to regen for the next fight and toss in one more for chat time and running back when I die.
Assume 3 hours of play every day.

That works out to two months to raise 100k. That actually sounds about right.
