Now thats insane. Never seen a post moderated like that ever in 3 years.

Am i the only one who finds it super contradictory that otm claims they can ban all of your accounts yet they cant ip ban people or device ban people. Just like how scammers scam a bunch of things, mail it, then create a new account when they've been found out or reported

They choose to not do this.

I have personally seen device id bans on other iOS mmo including games that lock your to your device id.

IP bans are somewhat dangerous because of dynamic IP. It's not like OTM wants to ban Starbucks or schoolX or such from being able to play. Device id is a bit more specific. In the end anything can be spoofed so deleting all associated accounts involved is the safest route.

I'm guessing it's not allowed because OTM may not get as much money from the offers as they do from direct purchases of platinum. So if we are able to get unlimited platinum, no one would buy it directly.

Anyway, why cheat the system? The game is for our enjoyment - it feels far better working to get to a high level with good items than cheating your way there: why play if you're just going to bypass everything?

I'm fairly certain otm is not getting paid fully for this kind of scamming. Other developers and businesses pay to have exposure by downloads etc. even if you download and delete it once they are willing to pay happily. I doubt they would appreciate the same person downloading it 1000 times and milking them. Or botting it 24/7/365.

My biggest beef is that everyone was allowed to keep thier gains. This just encourages cheating. I mean if OTM messed up and beach mobs dropped half million npc lux items and "innocent farmers" had thier gains taken back why not this?

Abusing offerwalls hurts other game studios as well as our relationship with our offerwall partners and if the abuse continues we may be forced to remove the offerwalls by our partners. As it wasn't clear to many players the seriousness of the abuse we have issued warnings and temporary bans. Repeat offenders or those found blatantly taking advantage of the system will face more severe consequences including permanent bans.
