Re: New IOS Engine: Name rename!??
#11Aileron, thats a good idea, im not 175, but i think its worth pursuing for that, even though I wont change my name. 150 is good.
Were there 1,999 other Rochohs out there?I will say that i am not too pleased with the name Rochoh2000
Excellent idea, however I think 180 is a better option. A scammer reaching 150, while unprobable, happens more frequently than 180 (on taranis there is one prominent scammer that comes to mind). While scamming will of course be always an issue, it is drastically less-likely that a scammer would reach level 180.. and by that time he/she would surely be recognizable by gear.I think there should be a minimum level when you can change your name. I think level 150 or even 175 come to mind. The player is high enough that they can be recognized by their gear and people notice if someone comes out of the blue fully geared with frozen or DL. Most scammers don't reach that point, they're usually in the 30-50s range, and a lot are level 1s.

This already happens, but people just remake different characters. Besides, you can tell who is who by their gear if you know the person. What about if there are people your clan will not have in their clan and they change their name a couple of times and stay under the radar and are able to get into clan!?
I love you Wulver. We've got a character rename feature on our roadmap for after the Destiny Engine launch on iOS. We don't have details on how this will work just yet, but there will be a limit on how frequently you'll be able to change your name and potentially other features to help limit scamming.
Minimum level is a good idea, but 180 is way too high- only a very tiny fraction of the population would have access to changing their name.I think there should be a minimum level when you can change your name.
