1: dps - Rogue
2: soloing - Ranger
3: pvp (thats an easy one) - Rogue
4: armor - Equal
5: skills - Equal
6: tanking - Rogue (due to more aggro gain)
7: Bossing - Ranger
8: and over all - Good at different things but will say Rogue as I am one :)
What a relief! Someone posted the perfect answer instead of all rogue or all ranger unfathomable. +1 to all points above and yes rogues are overall better than rangers cause of good dps, good defence, same armor but if considered every aspect, rangers are better in 40% of those while rogues are better in 60%

The difference is also that rogues are good when plenty of others are around.. Rangers are the best for undersized groups.. 4 Rangers could take down Snorri and deal with adds, 4 Rogues would get annihilated

As soon as someone explains to me how a rogue is better for soloing I will be happy... Rangers have bolas, you can basically solo any boss without restos... and training is cheaper too.

As soon as someone explains to me how a rogue is better for soloing I will be happy... Rangers have bolas, you can basically solo any boss without restos... and training is cheaper too.
When people say that they mean with resto pot spamming because they kill the fastest. Rangers can solo with zero plat items, in this sense rangers are second to none at soloing.

question #2- rogues. life steal and bandage wounds is plenty to keep yourself healed, and rogues doge more with fast reflexes. plus they kill faster get xp faster and don't take as much damage as rangers.

question # 5- i would actually say that they are the same, they both have different uses. xpose weakness is pretty essential.

question #7- i would say the same. rangers have good support skills but rogues have much more dps. But they also have xpose and smoke bomb.

overall- IMO rogues but if you want to be a dps/support hybrid, ranger.

rogues have two heal skills, which is plenty to keep yourself healed and with fast reflexes, nothing can touch me unless it is a skill. they also kill faster so they take less damage.

for soloing bosses on average i would say rogues, because they do more damage AND doge more. most bosses have range skills, but if everything go's well then rangers can solo pretty good. i would say that life steal is a better skill for healing yourself during a fight than light heal, because light heal can be interrupted and you lose alot of damage when trying to cast it.

Bandage wounds is a waste of skill points for any class, rangers are better for soloing as they can do it without using any plat item. All the frozen bosses and the dragonlord bosses destroy rogues when they're close. Bolas from rangers is very essential and can get you in almost any boss kill you want. I agree rogues are overall better but saying that rogues are better in everything is ***
