Speaking as a Druid I do not like how the regen items work anymore. Makes it every hard to kill anything considering I have to use a ton of energy to keep myself healed on beasts my own level. Warriors can take down whatever they please while I have to use potions and take 5 minutes to kill what takes them only 1 minute. Yes I know Druids aren't supposed to be super strong but considering we have no energy to do what is required of us it's very frustrating. I paid for the luxury items with real world money and buying them any other way is near impossable.
I enjoy playing the game but luxury items are for just that... Luxury. I do not feel relaxed knowing that my items don't work anymore. Please re- analyze the regen items.

Out of combat the items work great. During combat I might as well not even have them. If I would have known it would change so drastically I would not have purchased them and used my coin more wisely.

Even saying all this the game is a great success and I look forward to playing daily. Thanks for the great updates and new monsters. It's very fun to have a new area to level in and new items to play with. You have all done a wonderful job and come a long way since the first initial release of Celtic Heroes. Thanks for giving me hours upon hours of gameplay and social interaction with fellow players.

this was changed in response to lots of complaints about 5,5,5,400 type builds.

However I'm sure we can improve the balancing of the energy costs going forwards.

We also did give everyone more energy per forus, more base focus, improve the power of energy regen spells and added sacrifice to compensate somewhat for this.

I would like to address your comment.

I have never seen a 5,5,5,400 build, and that build would make no sense whatsoever for any class except Mage and only because of Energy Shield (and as a mage i can show you why prior to update 3 this was an inefficient idea so if that was your build you were shooting yourself in the foot). If anything, making all spells effectiveness based on focus made the high Focus build more prevalent. So, I reject the notion that fixing this problem was necessary; however, if you felt it was necessary, the proper fix was NOT to change all the energy calculations in the game.

From what I have read the main reason for the energy change was that people thought the regen items were too powerful. Well that is why they are lux items. And as skill levels went up energy costs would go up and yes a mage would still run out of energy with all the casting. The problem was other classes never got tired so the E regen items had no work to do. The proper fix would be to have STR use energy.

But for some reason the 5,5,5,400 idea seems to be offensive. Well lets look at the concept of an overbalanced toon and see what happens..

I'm using pre update numbers because that his what the argument was based on
395 points for a level 79
STR, DEX, VIT, FOC
400,5,5,5 This would be the total DPS toon. The one hit wonder. Massive damage in one shot. Actually not a bad idea and can be used for rogue or perhaps ranger, and warrior.
5,400,5,5 This would be a toon that literally never gets hit. Historically, Dex is just not that useful for avoiding being hit, with the new update this may be an option though but I doubt it.
5,5,400,5 This is the definition of a Tank. STR requirements for gear require a bit more than a 5 but still a viable idea.
5,5,5,400 This is what mages are now forced into because of the update. Maxed out energy shield should give you about 800 points of damage protection and maxed out fire and ice and both lures let you get off 1000 points of ice damage and 500 points of fire per hit. So fighting a Red eyeball you can definitely get off one ice and 4 fire before they break your shield. so you can do 3000 damage if everything hits. And for boss fights you have all that energy to expend. Just don't get hit.

I used to have STR and Dex as a mage now they are both 5 because I need to points to survive. and I really cant tell the difference regarding interrupts.

So what is the problem again? Oh yea mages run out of energy and so after 3 min are not effective while other classes keep going an going and going....
(In all fairness the druid is also hurting, no more heals after energy runs out.)
