Re: fairy / goblin charms - stay or go?

I don't like the idea of adding special items to the plat store. When i see games that sell gear directly for cash, it is a turn off. Consumables and character upgrades are different and send a different message to the player base.

You got it rigth is another new mmo in ios the mounts ,weapons. Are sold in mithryl ( platinum) and is turnoff for new players i haven begin playing and i got put real money on the game.
Well I would rather spend a couple dollars in real life than grind my butt off for hours in this game for those charms. If you add the charms to the plat store, I would like a refund in gold.
It will be fair to regund the gold on all players who stocks this items if they are staying,
Lol yer completely wrong, there's no way it's unfair for these charms to be added to the platinum store on a later date, as long as the platinum store does not offer users an unfair advantage (which in this case it doesn't and no one can argue about that) there is no problem for them to be added to premium items. The platinum store has a long way to go, it needs to add things that only premium payers can buy that does not give them an unfair advantage, but at the same time encourages them fund the game. I say this in the nicest way possible, but if you can't afford to purchase something unique from the platinum store, it really shouldn't bother you that players can purchase cosmetics from them, because remember, they are paying for your server time, if it wasn't for them, there would be no Celtic Heroes.
The use of platinum creates a big avatange over non-platinum users, but to begin down this rd that maybe in few months all new content will be platinum purchase looks a bit deterrant For new players and grow of the game. And yeah will be easy to put real money and get those items but all comes to price 500 plat is 50k gold. But cost like $25 You will be willing to pay $25 for a charm ? This game is bussines and we do understand that but got be balance between profit and enjoyment.

SirBlaze, that kinda is the point of this "genre" of games...

So your probably wondering how that is a bad thing. Well that doesnt promote gameplay, plain and simple.
Sorry this line doesn't make a lot of sense, in light of what being discussed. If that doesn't promote game play, why do you think OTM is still around? Because of people buying plats out of the generosity of their hearts? or because people are spending RL money instead of earning IG gold to buy stuff?

P.S. I read your other post too :p
Okay well your first sentance doesnt make sence :)
If it makes it any more clear, i feel f***ed over just reading the OP. I spent gold on what was supposed to leave the game.
I agree, i feel inthe same situation... I brought all the charms, trusting that what the vender said was true "They are only letting me in the castle for the summer". Now i hear that the might be staying :( Im not too happy about this.

I think they should be removed because it was a special event won't be very special if they are kept in vendors or even the plat store. It was supposed to be a limited time item and if they are kept in stores forever ima just sell all the charms I have to the vendor seeing as I can buy whenever I like.

Why not have charms specifying whether they are an event charm or not, and only be sold during events? "Normal" charms such as crookback ones (which are not involved with an event, despite being introduced during one) can be permanent. Just have in red writing, underneath "Important item" an "event item" text.
-Morrigan-
Cronic, 143 Mage
Ninjastar, 127 Rouge
TheDarkSide, 67 Druid

Tada gan iarracht.

It was an event item according to the text of the vendor when it was released. I would love to pay for the charm (couple dollars?) for my 160k back. I can see a problem however since I baught one of my charms from another player.

I think the charms should stay as is; i hate when games try to bring the pressure of buy now or be sorry you didnt later; and these charms add variety too looks which ch still has major problems with in my opinion.
