I guess you will just have to wait after beta to see what Dogma is arguing about against a very huge majority of beta testers. Every beta tester who sides with the 4 of us, is also in Avalon too, apparently, and they are my sheep haha.
Iam sure its not some bug in wall ....
Only thing is lock 99.99% sure :-)

Guys, do not forget that other class have AMAZING auto atks.

While others could auto away, we mages have to rely on skills (with the exception of melee mage), and our useless toothpicks.

The reason why ppl say mages are op is because:

1. since we have horrible auto dmgs, OTM gave us an edge on skill hits (a.k.a lures), we hit BIG numbers, but we could only do occasional burst dmgs, not like other class, constantly hacking and slashing.

Wear an askold bow (titan weaps) and it would be the same concept.

P.S: I agree that mage accuracy should be increased, we miss way too much.

2. The BIG reason, the Energy Shield of AWESOMENESS!!! Ppl say mages are op b/c they can't even scratch them. Ahem, correction here, you are still doing alot of dmg, they're just all absorbed by eshield :lol: (no this is not a troll). Ppl are probably just pissed off b/c they can't see the numbers showing up.

Fix: Actually give shield a life bar so ppl can know that they're actually doing dmg.

Mages, with druids, are notoriously known for their apple-board (a.k.a horrible) armor. Druids have their wards and bark. Well? We don't have any skills that increase armor, so we could only buff ourselves with extra health (eshield). Don't forget that druids have 2 abudance skills that increase life too.

Another why to fix it: If OTM really think Eshield is too op. Downgrade it to little more than abudance lvl.

Conclusion: Mages are thought of as op in a PVP perspective. They are, however, extremely inefficient at lvling, compared with other classes.

In the end, DO NOT NERF MAGE DMG SKILLS THEY'RE OUR ONLY DMGING WAY (except if you are melee mage of course). Nerf eshield if you ABSOLUTELY have to but apart from that mages are perfectly fair.

Last, STOP ONLY LOOKING AT MAGES FROM PVP PERSPECTIVE!!!

Well I definitely made this going off what was said in another thread. Being they were talking about beta and the comment wasn't fully clarified I took it as OTM or beta people might have been trying to fix one thing by breaking something else and seeing the comment definitely irked me.

As far as the accuracy hit % I brought up, I really noticed it a few months ago when a druid pointed it out to me. It definitely seemed like there was a change to how many misses occur than used to be the case. As I stated I'm used to it by now, besides the quirks mentioned I wasn't fully aware it affected other non-caster class spells as well though. Even with this I still think mages are playable as is and don't need much changes really. I just wanted to be sure we weren't being nerfed to fix issues with other classes.

I have no idea what this post is doing here. It is all based off of speculation and rumors. There are absolutely no facts here, because no OTM staff has posted here saying anything. If you want to know what is in the expansion, look at what OTM employees (Admin, Wulver, Luthias, etc..) have posted in the past.

Beta testers who have a legitamate disagreement with other beta testers should have it in the beta section of the forums. Not here. This looks very unprofessional.

As we have said previously Beta testers were selected based on their activity, experience and application responses, not their clan membership. Please do not launch personal attacks on the forums.
