Great thread, Shadow. Thank you for compiling and continuing to update.

Regarding Dragon Gear,
Dragon Armor (4th Warden Upgrade) : (confirmed in V4)
I thought you might like to add an "including" part:

Admin confirmed (though the post was lost in the forum move) that there will be an offhand item in the Dragon questline for each class. Only a Warrior shield was specifically mentioned, though he said all respective offhands had been designed.

[*]Two players, who are not in-game friends, agree to a trade on the forums, but are unable to be online at the same time. Therefore, they use the in-game mail system to conduct the trade.[/list]
These situations would not be possible if the mail system only allowed you to send and receive messages between friends.
Similar to Venus, this one has me a little concerned.

I had assumed that the mailbox system was one-way. Therefore I figured the mailbox would not be a viable way to trade.

What sort of safety nets are in place for trading through mailbox? Or was that overlooked?

It obviously can't be two one-way trades.

Unless it involved a three part system kind of like using a third person to hold the items till both players could do a final confirmation. So if player 1 decided to trade his ammy for an off hand through the mail he sends a special type of mail. This mail that would be designed for trades should work excatly like our current trades but wouldnt need the other person on at the time they accept the trade. So player 1 accepts the trade when player 2 isnt on, player 2 would have to accept the trade when logging in but if player 2 decides to remove the item then accept player 1 would hae to agree again this way they cant just wait for the other player to accept then alter the trade.

Oh.mah.gawd.

They haven't released a date and past experience would tell us that we should consider adding somewhere between 3 and 8 weeks on to any update date they announce.

I personally have decided the update will happen on May 15th. This keeps me from stressing out about it and I will be so thrilled if they get it done earlier.

This isn't exactly a trade system; it's a mailing system. I have seen it done in many other games with excellent success and not too much whining over lost items.

The main thing to understand is that one MUST only do two-way trades in person as it requires consent of both parties at the same instant. Any other way will make it easier to scam. Then again, these are the obvious things; no need for me to speak.
The mailbox system, are to be used for one-way trades such as:
-Gifting items
-transferring to other Characters
-paying debts, etc.

May 15th would be awesome because I penciled in the update to be live on June 1st. The next bit of news letting us know it will be a while longer I have penciled in for March 1st. Beta Testing I have down for April 8th. :P

Heres how I figure it: they predict a date. We automatically add a certain amount of time to that to try to guess. So do your math, figure out when you expect it to come, and then add a month to that, and you'll be getting pretty close.

Dersu, COD? I send you X Item, that we agreed to for 200K. In the mail/letter, there is an accept/COD button. You can only click it (hence accept the attached item) if you have 200K on "your person". You get the item, and 200K is removed from You, and sent back to the mailer.

The only problem I had with this system (in a different game) is that the recipient had 3 days (IIRC) "to decide" if he wants the item and I can't do anything until they accept it. So if Person A, who agreed to Person B for Y Trade, but waits 3 days accepting the mailed item, Person B is missing the item, and his money, for 3 days.
