[*]Two players, who are not in-game friends, agree to a trade on the forums, but are unable to be online at the same time. Therefore, they use the in-game mail system to conduct the trade.[/list]
These situations would not be possible if the mail system only allowed you to send and receive messages between friends.
Similar to Venus, this one has me a little concerned.
I had assumed that the mailbox system was one-way. Therefore I figured the mailbox would not be a viable way to trade.
What sort of safety nets are in place for trading through mailbox? Or was that overlooked?
It obviously can't be two one-way trades.
Dersu, COD? I send you X Item, that we agreed to for 200K. In the mail/letter, there is an accept/COD button. You can only click it (hence accept the attached item) if you have 200K on "your person". You get the item, and 200K is removed from You, and sent back to the mailer.
The only problem I had with this system (in a different game) is that the recipient had 3 days (IIRC) "to decide" if he wants the item and I can't do anything until they accept it. So if Person A, who agreed to Person B for Y Trade, but waits 3 days accepting the mailed item, Person B is missing the item, and his money, for 3 days.
