The boss spawn window change is a direct increase to reward vs effort. It's a good change for everyone. You should be happy about it.
Window is good, reduced spawn time is not.
Remember those special boss spawn weekend events? Everything was due and it was either no life for days or let your clan down. Shorter spawns put too much emphasis on bosses and I agree with aileron that it leaves little time for other things to do.
I liked the boss spawn Halloween weekend because it allowed every clan to enjoy and win some.
I think we lost more than half of the bosses, even though we were there at almost every one camping our butts off for up to 3 hours at a time for 72+ hours.
I don't have a problem with the mini-events, even if we didn't win them all. The long camping times was what was annoying.

If they changed Mordris and Hrungnir to 24 hours and 5 minutes, I probably wouldn't oppose it. Although I'm sure that will never happen because they need to temper the rate of which items/gold come into the server.

But 36 hours is still 1.5 days of hell. And now we have to do it 36 hours after every kill.
That, too me is a problem, and many campers here (note that no one else from Avalon came in here to "support" my views), many from other servers and clans have said the same things I'm saying.

Hopefully OTM will look past the name and the clan as well, and listen.

Nice changes but why not reduce the window to 24 hours? It accomplishes the same thing as a 36 hr one. 48-72 hours after last kill would be better, one spawn on average every 2.5 days, less time spent camping and everyone benefits.

If this happened it would be the same as what occurred with DL bosses when they were changed. Snorri especially. You get a ton of competition there since the spawn is guaranteed. Lock alts everywhere logging in for just 5 minutes to take the boss, who then disappear until the next spawn. Now I'm not advocating for or against t the moment. I'm just saying that this is what will happen with hrungir and mord if they get changed to a 5 min window.

Bounty Board Changes
All bounties now guarantee a drop of a bounty token, helping heroes towards their Pet / Battle Mount of choice.


I do like this. Even with how upset people are about required tokens for pets/battle mounts. There is at least a cheaper alternative, albeit longer way, to obtain new pets/mounts.

Muldar, did you ever see my post in the Beta section about making Battle mounts a questable mount instead? If not, you should go read it =)

Competition isn't bad. In fact it's the most exhilarating aspects of this game. The issue is that target lock ruined it.

In any case, I'm not quite advocating a 24h/5m spawn. I'm just not happy with the 36h/36h because it's worse than 48h/48h.
60h/4h or 80h/2h is likely the best overall, for both big and small clans, dominant or not, across all time zones.

Oh some nice changes and some terrible...

Why was drop rate of high tier items changed for Necro, Mord, Hrung and Aggy only? Maybe forgot Proteus and Gelebron? Now we have had couple gele with 3 useless drops..

Also pls keep 2 day min spawn on raids... who wants more camping? I would rather have longer spawn time with short window... you guys are basically making us camp more often by changing to 1.5 days min spawn

But thank you for all the other great changes!

60h/4h or 80h/2h is likely the best overall, for both big and small clans, dominant or not, across all time zones.
Those hours will make this game stress free for so many competitive end gamers.

Stress free = happy

happy = activity

activity = spend money

The concern regarding this is the decrease of plat usage because less raids will be killed. The higher activity could possibly overcome this. Yes there is a risk of losing out on some revenue, but it can be a blessing in the long run for the company.
