Celtic Heroes

There has been some talk on the forums about shout. I thought I’d throw in my two cents I actually love to see folks shouting! It kind of makes me feel like the world is active and alive! It also lets me know what the people that are shouting are like and what they are doing! (Important if you are recruiting for a clan) Also some of the comments….Well they are downright funny and break up the monotony of grinding away in the catacombs. I know that some don’t care for the incessant chatter but to me it’s OK. There is a point where I draw the line though. See the list below:

• 1) Don’t shout anything questionable that will make anyone uncomfortable or angry. No cursing, sexual, racial, gender, religion, politics etc…
  2) Don’t use shout to harass or belittle others! Just don’t do it. This is the worst thing in my mind.
  3) Don’t be super annoying. You know what I mean. Perhaps shouting that you are selling something 20 times in a five minute span. Or monotonous spew, inane talk, or something to that affect
  4) If you are talking to someone in the room don’t shout at them. I don’t want to hear help or heal me when I can’t see you

I know that some folks don’t like the chatter and I’m glad that the new version will allow you to turn it off. I’ll never use that feature so to everyone that uses shout the right way…..keep shouting

I agree with you raven... I don't mind ppl shouting occasionally (whether for a serious purpose or just for laughs), but there are times when it is inappropriate! Perhaps you should write a Celtic Heroes Etiquette Guide that can be stickied in the forums for all to read. I have always tried to help other players with the do's and don'ts of chat and game etiquette, but it would be nice if there was something persistent here (or even within the game) that ppl could read when they join...

OH thanks I think that is a great idea...May take a little while but it would be beneficial. It seems like some players just don't understand what is acceptable and what is not. Besides I find that if you are nice, friendly, and helpful (and use the proper game etiquette) you can succeed better than if you are in it for yourself and annoy people. (Isn't creating friends and building trust a part of all MMOs?) I'll start collecting ideas from the clan too. I have thick skin so some things don't bother me like they do other players.
