How much do resistences resist damage? 
It's relative, i am pretty sure it's a coverted percentage. Since 700+ fire resistance turns the Lava DoT into a 20/tick DMG but 0 fire resist(naked) can hit you for upwards of 90/tick.
Lava golems hit me for like 160-180 with 300 fire resist. And like 65-90 with 700+ so again, it's relative, not exact. I am pretty sure someone could crunch the numbers but we are gonna hafta wait for mdimarco to get bored.
