There's absolutely no point. However much money u have, it only takes up 1 inventory slot. Plus, if u're in the otherworld for example, and someone offers u something u want, u''ll have to go back to forcag castle, to the banker, get ur money, and go back? and then oh crap i cant fast-travel, selling....!! ??!?!?!

I can think of a couple reasons why players would want to be able to do this. I would like to be able to put both gold and plat in the bank.
1. It minimizes mistakes in trade. If you have a lot of gold, it is possible to accidentally add a zero when buying something from another player. Of course the responsibility is the player's, but if they could limit the amount of money they carry they wouldn't have to worry about making a large mistake entering a number.
2. It easily allows one to know how much they made that day. If you deposit all your gold in the bank before or after training (starting balance of zero) you can quickly see how much gold you made in one hour of training. As it is now, you have to jot down your starting balance, subtract that from your ending balance. Not terribly difficult, but money in the bank would make it easier.
3. For people who like to upload screenshots to the forums or a Clan Facebook account, it would allow you to keep your wealth (or lack thereof) secret. I often see screenshots of someone's stat page, and can see how much plat and gold they have. unless you want to Shop the photo, this would allow one to screenshot without worrying about being asked for gold.
4. To curb spending (Edit per Lady R's post). The same way that some people leave their credit apples at home irl, if you could keep the majority of your gold in the bank, you would be less inclined to make impulse purchases.
But hey, at least Celtic isn't like Everquest... in that game your money counted toward your weight. If you had too much cash you walked at a snail's pace.
For fast travel, just spend 30 minutes in Crookback farming mining picks, or buy leystone frags off a player.

I think it would be a great idea if we could get interest on it. That would be a great secondary way to make money.

I want to be able to put money in the bank and then be allowed to have my other characters get it. You can't trust others in game to hold your money while you switch characters!

I never thought there was a real reason to do this until I read cereus post , +1 to putting gold in bank.

Hello,
I for one would LOVE to be able to put gold in the bank. I have a nasty habit of spending gold as soon as i make a little bit of it.

In fact, it was only by transfering gold bit by bit to a alt that i never play that allowed meto save up enough to pay for some of the samhain goodies before the event started
yep. Gold banking feature plz!!!!
Sincerely,
Lady Rosethorn of Rhiannon

Good point, Lady R. I've added that to the list I have above.
... until I read cereus post ...
I am going to create an alt with that name tonight, just to protect the integrity of your post

lol... it's only because Admin has a nasty habit of only ready the first three posts in any thread for fear that new and tangent questions will be raised. Didn't mean to highlight your spending habits
