Rogues Update 4

How are rogues going to be fixed in this Up coming update? Are they getting new skills? Are they going to be top DPS by a mile of any other classes?

Admin said they will be fixing all skills since skills are useless at high levels , I would hope this puts rogue ahead of ranger and Mage for dps .
As far as fixing rogue , rogue is not broken just their skills (like all classes) , and I don't see why they shoukd be "miles" ahead of all other dps lol

I think a rogue should be a mile ahead of other dps classes, since that's all it can be is dps. They can somewhat tank but don't last very long and if they do decide to be a tank they aren't a rogue anymore. Whereas mage can be support and dps, ranger can do heavy dps sometimes more than rogues without sacrificing too much damage for hp and also have bolas.. and huge heal..

A nice thing with this update is that rogues can be allowed to be good dps as ksing will be locked after 20-25%

We should be top for sure, but not miles , with miles ahead we would be able to lock a boss solo against a group

No one has even defined miles in dps, though i doubt I'd support the unpopular firm of total 3 times more dps than everyone (even though warriors have 2-3 times more armor) there should definately be a significant damage difference between rogues and other classes unless the update includes a strong support or survival skill for rogues.
To be as specific as my slightly ignorant self can be- Rogues have maybe a 0-5% damage advantage over rangers and 5-6% above mages in current games direct dps (meaning lures discluded, as most know good lures double an entire grps dmg)
Ill assume "miles ahead" means like a 90-200% advantage in dps, rogues should probably be somewhere between 20-40% past rangers and mages next update, not OP (assuming we still die easy as par norm) but still distinctly better than others and thus fufilling our role.

Well as of now a rogue and a ranger have exact same dps , the best weapon for either IMO is knucks (assuming hasted) rogues have skills that can be used with knucks rangers don't , if those skills are made to work properly where they actually add dps I think that will be fair , on a long boss fight If a rogue can add 20% more dps than ranger that is a very large amount , in my opinion it should be about 10-15% more than ranger, but my main is ranger so I am sure main rogues would feel different .
Also I hope they don't go overboard and make rogues over powered dps wise , I think alot of rogues ignore fast relex and dex as viable options for rogues, but again it's from a ranger mains perspective .

The problem with fast reflex is it doesn't help for skills which is where we really get hurt. Also, frozen dag beats out knucks.
I think if skills were made to work again we may stand a chance, but as of now rogues slight dps advantage isn't worth all the extra ranger gets. I'd love a light heal, not that we deserve it but it'd be nice.

Someone at one point suggested throwing knives for rogues so we can be at a distance like rangers. I still think that would be great cause even standing behind lava and stonelord and rocka u get hit by the AoE attacks. Maybe update 5 this will be a new weapon choice
