Here's a quick in-game pic of Tom's warrior wearing a new mace, shield and helm (we haven't finished the new warrior armour yet!).

The 'bird' helm is a real Celtic Chieftain helm - they wore that and a 'cone' helm which we are making also, this is all real historical stuff
Here are pics of real Celtic helms in museums which we are making for the game:

I'm glad you guys are keeping it historically accurate

just wondered whT type of bird that is on the helmet? And a reason why they made them like that? Now it's a little off subject but you got me curious now

Here is some info:
"Birds of prey, similar to owls, show up in earlier Celtic history in cults and are the most widespread species of bird found in artifacts. Celts, like many ancient societies saw large birds, such as the eagle as the dominant kings of the sky. Adorning the top of the tendril decorated iron helmet is a large bronze bird of prey. This helmet, with its fierce bird of prey, is thought to have seen combat. The large bird was probably used for its powers of strength and association with the gods. The bird is anatomically correct, especially in the facial area, with the large beak and enameled eyes. Especially intriguing is that the wings actually move with the wind. The sight of a warrior wearing this mechanical headdress with its combination of form and function, must have been awe inspiring to foes."
So the idea of the helm in game is so we can look awe inspiring to our foes!

Just curious, but I've been leveling in the level 40 black rev's since level 39 and am now 47. So far I've got one good drop, a banded tower shield (I'm a warrior). Lots of low level stuff though and a couple mid range items. Any reason the drop rate is so crazy low for the higher level stuff?
- New design looks awesome, can't wait to get it.

The lvl 40 mobs will have a random chance to drop a variety of loot, the higher the star rating the more likely they are to drop something and the better the drops will be - however all lvl 40 mobs will be able to randomly drop nice stuff. I think the issue is that there are a low number of 4 and 5 star mobs in that area this is something we are addressing.
