What's OTM's policy on guessing passwords?

#1
Hey guys and OTM, a friend of mine had his password guessed, someone then decided to take a shed load on super combos I gave him and all his gear.
I now for a fact that his password wasn't shared with anyone so I was just wondering what your plan of action is for this situation.

I'm not sure overly fussed about my stuff that is gone but a minor cannot easily buy what was taken from him.

Thanks

If infact your password was guessed. Then you should go learn about making good passwords.
example character name xyz with an account name xyz and password of xyz is just plain ignorant.

also a policy on a guessed password is pretty much non existent as it should be. Why? because people would then start with guessed password clams.

Change the password and make sure you have a safe one now. If the password is changed contact the support team trough the in-game support option.

About a good password maybe it's interesting to read this:
The security of an account is important, and is the sole responsibility of the user. Here are a few tips to help keep an account secure:

Do not share your username or password with anyone, including friends (both in-game and real life), family, or guild members.
Choose a password that is difficult to guess, but easy for you to remember. Some tips on making passwords secure:
Ensure passwords are a mixture of letters and numbers
Use at least 8 characters for your password.
Avoid using words found in any dictionary, or the names of friends, family, pets, etc.
Avoid using words which are similar to your username, your character name, the name of your guild, or your World.
Avoid using a password that you already use for another game and/or website.

How about something like what Facebook does?

If someone logs in on an unknown device, an email is sent to the person's email address that they have to approve, or they get sent a code as a text message. Only once the person has approved will the new device be able to log on.
I would stick to my idea... Chances are that person would know the facebook account too and approve it on there? Lol

There should be an option where you can lock your account to one device (Preferably your main device). So that when someone else knows the password, user and try an log in, it will fail.

This is the best way to prevent so-called 'password guessing' and 'hacks'.
I would say no to this because I like to log my accounts on different devices sometimes. I do like Vold's idea even though it would be a pain after getting a new iDevice and already having to wait a long time for download and patching.
