Why would you choose a ranger over a druid

Please do not just check the armour. You concentrate on that because it helps your class. Now lets look at skills druids have compared to rangers if you want a kick up the ass look at this lets start with rangers best possible skill bolas
Bolas vs rooting. No doubt bolas wins but for the solo aspect now that mobs are super close together bolas isnt as good anymore. Soloing een for a ranger is harder. While rooting has stated the same and can still be highly decent for solo
Nature touch vs light heal. Hand down nature touch anyway destroys light heal
Nature embrace vs light heal.(druids have more skills) again embrace destroys light heal i know a druid who has 300+ embrace lol!
Sharpshot vs lightning strike- lightning its more damage(around double) take a little longer to cast(yes sharp is instant but its not free damage the animation of it is counted an take almost as long as lightning strike) and lightnings cooldown is faster also.
Strom touch vs longshot- storm has more damage same cast time and shorter cooldown
Vines vs barbed- lets no even compare these vines is possibly 4* the streght of brabed.
Wards and bark vs sharpen and steady- well bak makes up for that armour druids can reach almost 1k armour with that skill...
Auto damages. Well auto is useless now because of bosses defence so ranger does have more but on a boss its just not worth anything so this now makes rapid shot useless.
Overall druids skills are super support without them supporting bosses like aggy are not killable. Ranger have an all round role so that mean they should be under the classes which have main roles but above the secondary roles of those classes.
Rogues dps is main. Support second ranger are less dps but more support so thats good
Mages have a mixed main roll imo which is dps/support rangers are below in both while the dps at least they should be getting closer
Druids main is support and second dps. Rangers get beat in both....
Warriors roll is tank and dps. Ranger get beat in tank and equal dps.
Please do not say that tank is a second roll for any class. Because its simply not, if you try to tank with any other class which is around or below the bosses level more then likely you will fail. Only a warrior can truly tank anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves but in all honesty the second best tank i have seen are mages.
Why the hell would you even choose a ranger over a Druid?

druids got that rooting skill(dont know the name) which is not equal but very near to bolas and druids are better in every other aspect than rangers. The only problem with druids is the energy consumption(which im starting to feel that rangers consume more energy as well, not even comparable to druid but much more than they should)

Your argument is so incredibly flawed that i wont bother adding anything beyond this: you can't be everything at once. Yes, comparing separately...a full support druid is better than a full support ranger (even thats debatable). A full dps druid is better than a full dps ranger. Have you seen any ranger actually go 100% dps tho? if you half ass a full dps build its gonna suck. My full dps druid uses idols like crazy. i accept that as a sacrifice i need to make in order to full dps. But a ranger CAN be both at once. Its a middle ground, jack of all trades. Maybe you don't like that, but if thats the case why dont u try a different class?
On second thought, since you're so inclined to complain, i vote that we give rangers a new huge dps skill. Lets make it 8000 or so max damage and 25 sec cooldown. One catch: it uses 700 energy and removes your armor for 10 secs. Does any other non ranger like this idea? Maybe this fellow will understand the concept of trade offs. One day

Nah it won't
Bosses just need a lil less defence
Rangers Steady and sharpen probably need a boost aswell but il ask for one thing at a time :p

It's sad class balance comes down to 1 or two skills.
