I mean, isn't it a bit unfair? Android people originally got the choice to have two names but then we old player IOS guys had no choice because we didn't have the option.


I say to fix this, we do either two things.


1. Total rename
2. We get to add a 2nd word after our original name.


I say this is fair, people still know who you are but you get to have two names. ^^

It is not such a big deal. You can create a new character when the engine is released.

We've got a character rename feature on our roadmap for after the Destiny Engine launch on iOS. We don't have details on how this will work just yet, but there will be a limit on how frequently you'll be able to change your name and potentially other features to help limit scamming.

I suggest you drop the idea of changing names. How many people do you see on the forums complaining about their names? and it would cause more harm than good. Changing the looks of our characters however, that is worth pursuing.

I'd be happy with a new font that stops rhe 1 l controversy in scamming.

I've been forced to go and take up all the scammer names for all my toons.

I think there should be a minimum level when you can change your name. I think level 150 or even 175 come to mind. The player is high enough that they can be recognized by their gear and people notice if someone comes out of the blue fully geared with frozen or DL. Most scammers don't reach that point, they're usually in the 30-50s range, and a lot are level 1s.

I will say that i am not too pleased with the name Rochoh2000
